Hawk-Eye VFT (Knock-Off)
I Had posted a review on the Callaway x-14 (Knock-Offs) that I am playing. I posted it to give people something to think about... that the Knock-Offs can be just as good and in some cases even better than the "Brand Name" product. I got a bunch of emails by people that agreed that "Brand Name" clubs are over priced and wanted to look into Knock-Off's. I wanted to give a review about the driver I am using, it looks almost exaclty the same as the VFT or ERC II, same size and color, I have been useing it for about 5 weeks now, I have gained about 30 yards over my T.M. burner that I was using before. And its SOOOO... Much more forgiving.. I have demoded the ERC II and VFT and I can hit my driver farther than the VFT about the same as the ERC II. I am using a ProForce Gold shaft on it. and I love it, these clubs have really helped to lower my score this year I have actually shot a few rounds under par this year. If you want a club that is Equal Or Better Quality & WAY cheaper... Try Knock-off's... I did and I dought I will ever Go Back. The Rating for the "Brand Name" would be 5 for Overall and 2 for Value & My Knock-off would be a 5 for both.. I didn't like this club you cant get it in the air and it makes huge duck slices. I suggest the titlest 975D driver Similar Products Used: none it is the worst club out there next to liquidmetal |

VFT Pro Series 9.5* Tour Stiff
This is absolutely the best driver I have ever hit. Being a tournament golfer, I was wary to buy a new driver mid-season because I was worried about getting used to it. Took it to the range the day I bought it and was hitting the ball long and straight. This driver is way longer than anything else I have ever tried. Also, the Pro Series is as easy to work as a 975D. If all of the people that said the shaft sucks and replaced it with a UST ProForce shaft had actually read the specs and compared the shafts, they woulf realize that the H65 shaft that comes on the Pro Series is a much better shaft, being that it has much less torque and it a bit lighter. i have played with my steelhead for about a year and a half and can hit any kind of shot on call about 275... after trying out a vft in an outing i decided to buy one for myself because i was hitting the ball 300+ on center shots... the trade off is that i cannot work this club... i can only hit high fades with this club when i swing naturally... if i try to draw the ball a straight shot results the bottom line is that if you want more distance buy the club, however, if working the ball off the tee is a part of your game, get a different driver.... This is my second review on this club because I just want you guys who doubt this club or are uncertain of this club to go and check out the callaway website and read David Leadbetter's testimonial on the VFT. He couldn't say it any better! He says that if you want to get more distance and foregiveness from the VFT, you have to play higher lofts. I have to back that statement because I've compared an 11 vs 9 ERC 2 and a 10 vs 8 VFT. The higher lofted models of both the ERC 2 and the VFT were achieving the same distances as their lower degree models, but the higher degree models were easier to hit, more foregiving, and more consistent. I think the VFT technology in the VFT and the ERC 2 are more visible in the higher lofted models, thus Leadbetter (or Callaway) recommends us amateur golfers to play the 10 or 11 degree VFT (or ERC 2) because we will achieve more distance combined with more accuracy. Also, choose the right ball and the right shaft! Customer Service Their service is always good and they are very generous! Similar Products Used: TM 300 series, TISI, 975, |

To be honest i really don't think the VFT is as cold and unforgiving than any other drivers. I'll blame the shaft.. Similar Products Used: Kasco VS, Honma Twin Marks, Great Bertha and Steelhead plus. |
