10 degree
This club has given me 4 years of good solid hitting. The club has lost some of its distance but I attribute that to the numerous number of times I must have hit the club. The degree even though it says 10 degrees plays like a 11 degree wood. For a fast swinger I would suggest getting the club re-shafted with a slightly more stiff shaft than the "Firm" that the club comes with stock, because when you swing real fast the club head lags behind and the ball will slice a little, not to mention a slight push. I swing around 110 mph, but if your swing is around 90-100 mph this shaft is perfect. The thing that separates this club from other similar clubs is it's aesthetic appeal. When I addressed the other clubs they seemed either too big or unbalanced, but the Callaway felt just right. Another feature that separates this club from all the other brands is the no hosel feature which really makes the club look good at address. Callaway carried this look through to the newer Hawkeye series, but decided to put slight hosels on their newer VFT clubs. The reason I am switching clubs is because the newer Hawkeye Pro has a little bit more distance and is taylored for a better golfer. I do not like the VFT clubs because it seems to me as if Callaway sold out and had to get rid of the "no hosel" so that they could compete with the gigantic Ping and Taylormade clubs. Honestly I can hit the Pro Series about 320-330 in the air, and I highly doubt these new huge clubs can really hit the ball much further, they are just good for someone who has no confidence in their swing and does not feel that they can hit the ball with a resonably sized club. Low handicapers I suggest the Callaway Great Big Bertha as an excellent addition to your bag, that will give you just as much distance as the other clubs around.High handicappers may be better off with one of the larger clubs. Customer Service The day before I had a big tournament I was at the range hitting balls and the shaft broke sending the club head way off onto the range. The next day I went to a local golf store and they gave me a new club and sent the old one back to Callaway. All this said the customer service is incredibly good. Just bought this club from a friend and was worried about hitting the ball too high. I did hit it high but BAM it flew forever. Loved it from the first hit but having trouble getting out of my wife's bag. She hits it a ton also. Highly recommend it. Don't buy this club if you don't like long straight drives. Best driver ever made. I reshafted with a Proforce 75 and am very impressed with the amount of fairways I'm hitting. I owned a 975d and Ping Tisi and the just don't compare. Similar Products Used: Ping Tisi Titleist 975d |

best driver ever. the shafts that come in them are terrible however, so most liekly you will be reshafting. I reshafted with a UST ProForce 75 becuase it is very stiff in the tip which is good for my very high swing speed. the club is very solid, forving, and long. Similar Products Used: all |

Callaway GBB 7.5 degree
Great club, except the shaft. The stock UL shaft has about 6.5 degrees of torque which made it very inconsistent (right and left). I replaced the shaft with an Innovative UL low torque (2.5 degrees) shaft and it improved my accuracy tremendously. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made, Hawkeye, Titleist, Cobra Gravity Back |

10 Degree Reg Shaft
I have played so many different drivers and this is the one that works best. It sounds good at contact, feels nimble, goes long, and stays straight. What more could you ask for? Some people say the shaft is junk, but if the ball is long and in the middle of the fairway why change it? The only other driver I like now is the Taylor Made SuperSteel. The only problem I have with it is that it just is not as long as the GBB. Yardage greed trumps all things. Go find one of these if you can because they are becoming extinct. Enjoy! GREAT CLUB. worth the money Customer Service nah Similar Products Used: a lot |

Great Big Bertha
I am about 15 years old and about 6 months ago my dad bought me this driver. I started hitting with it and i was very inconsistant. After I got used to it I was launching the ball about 220-245 yards. My brother took it to the range and broke the shaft so they gave us a new one with ruger titanium. I would recommend changing the shaft to a graffaloy of a proforce. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Burner, Hawkeye, Adams SC, Taylor Made 300 series, Purespin driver |

I've enjoyed this club for about a year; changed out the shaft right after snapping the first shaft. Replaced the shaft with a Grafalloy pro-light 35+ regular. Can hit it about 240 to 255 yards with a slight draw. With the price dropping and the new higher priced drivers coming out, the GBB could be the driver to get this Christmas for the price. I recommend changing out the shaft with a Grafalloy pro-light, it works far better than original shaft. Customer Service After using the club for about a month, the shaft that came with it snaped and the golf course sent it back to Calloway, which they replaced it with a new club within days versus reshafting. Great Big Bertha 9*
Originally played with BigBertha Warbird 10* driver. But as my game improved, and swingspeed went up, I started hooking the drives. Decided to upgrade the driver and bought both Steelhead 9* w/ RCH99 firm graphite, and Great BigBertha 9* w/ UL firm graphite shafts; used, through ebay. I WANTED to like the GBB more and make it my driver, but it DIDN'T WORK! I got much better results with Steelhead. After getting used to it, I could launch great shots with Steelhead, but I could not control GBB at all! Similar Products Used: Callaway Big Bertha Warbird 10* RCH90reg, Steelhead 9* RCH99firm |
