GB II 9 degrees stiff shaft
This is an extremely forgiving club. You really have to put a bad swing on this club to lose distance on mis-hits. It is longer than my Cobra 350 due to a penetrating medium ball flight. The shaft is not nearly as bad as other drivers such as the Taylor Made products. Better than Titleist or other similar drivers on the rack. Callaway Great Big Bertha II 9* L/H
Got a new set of Callaway Irons and wanted this new driver to match my set. I was using a Ping IST driver with great sucess. The GBB driver is a very long and hot driver. About 15 to 20 yards longer than my Ping. I have already sold my Ping on Ebay and have not looked back. The stock Firm flex is holding up fine for me. My clubhead speed is in the high 90's. If you want a very long and forgiving driver this one is for you. And by the way the nice Callaway blue head color looks very nice at address. Customer Service No one can beat Callaway's customer service!!!!! Similar Products Used: Titleist 975, Taylor Made, Ping |

The callaway great big bertha 2 is awsome. My first drive with it went about 55 yards farther then my drives with my hawkeye. This driver is most likely one of the best ever. Go out and buy one. |

i must agree with the review before mine well sort off anyways the gbb2 is a nice driver to hit but you really have to be careful with those darn callaway shafts they are still crap i think if you can find one with a proforce 65 or 75 you will be way better off but i still agree that the 975j or the l-fe are the way to go. they are not as huge as the gbb2 i mean really its like looking at an orange on a toothpick way too big the 975j sets up nice and you cant beat titleist for their classy looks. Customer Service titleist is class a for service callaway is pretty great too.. Similar Products Used: biggest big bertha, 975j, vft the worst ever |

GB 2
I have a friend who ownes a pro shop so I get to demo things a lot.I had played a gbb in the past back in the mid 90's and loved it. I was really hoping to like this club since their past clubs with exception of the gbb did not excite me. Here is my conclusion the club when struck in the center goes well and has good feel. It looks good, and is not to big. Now the negatives, when struck off center you are punished with a dramatic loss of yardage(this suprised me!). The stock shafts are still bad.If your a good ball striker it is a good choice; however,if you are looking for a lot of forgiveness there are better clubs available.I suggest trying the TM 500 series, this club really impressed me. Customer Service Having owned callaway products in the past I never experienced any problems. Similar Products Used: Everything out there. |

Callaway GBB II Pro 8.5
Getting out of the tee box is just as important as putting. The way the club setups (the visual) and your stance (feel)affects your confidence. The GBB II head is a slightly longer, narrower pearshape than most traditional pearshaped heads. It is the same design as the community rejected C4. I tried several lofts with several shaft variations and determined the 8.5* pro series with a non-stock low torque mid/high flex pt 77 gram shaft. The driving range I go to has a road that requires a 325 yds carry. Luckily there is a huge mound at the deep end because I was hitting the middle of the mound. I tried the Cleveland, Titleist, Cobra, Taylormade, and a few of the other big doggies. The GBB II was the club I selected based on its setup, feel, and consistency for me. It provided me with confidence to put it where I was aiming. Before you buy a driver, I recommend going to a range and demoing several clubs with several shaft combinations (stock shafts - esp Callaway, are usually softer, ie a stock Stiff is really a Regular, and a stock Regular is more like a Senior) until you find one that produces the shot pattern and launch angle you desire. Why do manufacturers label weaker shafts stronger? Marketing. Makes you feel more like a man. Who cares if you can't break 80, at least you're playing with a stiff shaft! Customer Service Had to wait 15 minutes to get a hold of a live body. Rep was helpful though. Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher, Titleist JVS, TaylorMade 500 series, Cobra SS |

GBB II+
If you are looking for a forgiving club that hits very long, this is a club that you should definitely consider. I am an average golfer (I shoot in the low to mid 90's) and the driver has given me confidence at the tee and enough distance (average 240-260yds) to get me in good scoring position on most holes. I am using the GBB II+ Pro Series (non-conforming) with a 9.5 degree loft and a firm flex shaft. The club is well balanced and easy to line up. Distance is generated with very little effort, allowing you to concentrate on hitting the ball straight. Mis-hits are typically still fairly straight and long.....you'll be seeing lots of fairways with this club in your bag. I was previously using the TaylorMade R510 which is less forgiving. Using the GBB II, the ball also feels more lively coming off the face of the club (nice sound and feel). Again, I would encourage everyone to give this club a try. I can't comment on whether you can 'work' the ball with this club (since I'm not at that level), but for the average golfer, this club will put you on the fairway and within spitting distance of the green (giving you ample opportunity to find another way to make bogey!) Good luck, and happy shooting! |

Callaway GBB II 11*
Best driver I have ever hit. Period. I am 14 years old and from time to time need a little bit of forgiveness that it gives when I really go after it. The feel is superb. By the time I get to my release, I know exactly where I made contact. I am definitely not one of the bigger guys, and with an 85-90 mph swing speed can bomb the ball 240+ yds. For some reason, I haven't had a problem with the shaft. The Aldila ONE seemed good, but pretty expensive. It has one hardly significant problem, though. The draw bias tends to be pretty sharp. I get about a 10-yard draw, which is not that big of a problem because the pro series has about the same distance of a fade. Great buy, worth the money. P.S. Be sure to keep your upper body behind the ball with drivers that have large clubheads. I just got this club and absolutely love it. It is sooooo sweet feeling and is very long. Also, off-center hits still go long and feel solid. This is the best driver I've hit in my life and I've hit so many. Try it, you will love it. Customer Service The only dealing I had with Customer Service was dealing with the club order itself. I had Nevada Bob's order this club for me with a STRONG flex shaft. The Rep said it would take 2-3 weeks, which was fine. It took 9 weeks to get this club which I felt was a little ridiculous. Customer Service offered no explanation other than blowing a smoke screen. I still love the club, though.
