Callaway GBB II
This is the real deal. It wants to go straight no matter where on the face it is hit. This club is very straight and very long. I have played a lot of drivers over the last few years and this is no doubt the best yet. Callaway has put out some sorry drivers in the last couple of years so it is about time they actually got one right. Customer Service Not used. Best driver Callaway has ever made. Beyond forgiving. Even on the toe the ball stays on the fairway. I don't know how many yards I've gained but I'm up with the long ball hitters in my group(290-300). I've never liked Callaway shafts; ordered mine with GDI YS 6. I highly recommend this combo. If you're debating between this and another drver, don't. I have played the Cleveland launcher(my second favorite), TM 580(don't bother, waste of $$$), Ping Tec, mizuno Blue Rage(striaght, but not long enough). This is the closest thing to a self hitter I have ever seen. I've been playing for over fifty-years and it's difficult to mis-hit this club. If you're getting older this club will return your distance and control. Similar Products Used: Tileist 975D and 975J Callaway GBB and Taylor Made Burner plus |

This driver is looooong... This new GBB II driver helped me turn my game around! Very easy to hit and ball goes long. If the ball is hit in the sweet spot you'll be rewarded and won't be penalized too much on off center hits. The system 60 R-Flex stock shaft work well for my ~95 swing speed. For you mid to high handicappers, this is worth investment (you may be able to find one less than $300 somewhere, i.e. eBay)... I can't say enough about this driver, it's the longest and most consistent thus far... If you thought the TaylorMade 320 was easy to hit, this is easier, longer and with the deep face, contact all the time :-) Golf is much more fun now! Customer Service Haven't used yet... Great Club for everyone. The Sweet spot is huge and the feel is unlike the previous crappy Callaway drivers(i.e. C4,VFT,ERC2) Just line up the trademark Callaway "V" and rip it. Just one note to mention though, Callaway's shafts suck. They're terrible.I put a Proforce 75 stiff on and the flight dispersion is so much more tighter. Expect to pay top dollar, it's a Callaway. As compared to other high end drivers, the GBBII is just a long if not longer than any other driver on the market. The Titleist 975 series gives better feel and consistency than anything else in my honest opinion. But, as with all clubs, find the right shaft and test it out before you make a big decision. Customer Service Callaway is the leader in this department. They will fix anything and pay for your shipping. They set industry standards. Great driver and can cure slide shot, good distance. However, it can't compare with Titleist J VS. J VS gives you dead straight shot compare to any driver in the market. Callaway got only 4 stars from me. Anyway you guys should try them both. Similar Products Used: Titleist J VS, Titlesit J and D, Callaway every models, Taylormade R540, etc |

GBB II+, 10 degree, System 60 Regular Graphite
I have hit most of Callaway driver since it Great Big Bertha, GBB Hawkeye, Steelhead, ERC II, VFT, etc. Must say that this GBB II is the most forgive driver in the world. In fact, I faced with driver slice for all of my golf life. I purchased so many driver in my life (GBB, GBB Hawkeye, 975D, S-Yard 301 NF II, ERC II, Dunlop XXIO Twin AX (should call Srixon XXIO in US), all of them still give me slice problem.. Last few week, I have tested Taylor Made R580. Quite impressive with the performance and forgiveness. But once I hit this Great Big Bertha II, I forget the name Taylor Made at once. This GBB II, give me really long and stong forgiveness. If I hit the ball the way I got slice from other driver, this baby yield me only small amount of fade. I never miss the fairway again.. No matter you hit it, (except toping the ball). All short will go and in the fairway (if you alignment correctly). I am really happy with this one and it worth for me for every penny. Don't just believe me, try it yourself and you will see. Its not only a new driver, its new Great Big Bertha. (Sorry for my English, it not my native language) Customer Service Never use them. Sweet driver. I am missing very few fairways now. This is a great club for every level of play. With an easy swing, I am out driving my buddies by 10 or more yards with ease. The shaft could use some improvement however. Customer Service Had a small dent in the toe from letting a buddy hit it. Callaway replaced it free of charge. Excellent. I am not a Callaway rep. In fact, I thought Callaway's last three driver efforts (VFT, ERC II and C4) absolutely sucked, although the ERC II was fun to hit if you didn't have to try and hit a fairway with it. This club, however, the Great Big Bertha II, is absolutely amazing. I tried to think of a better word than amazing, but it was impossible. I have literally tried every new driver out there from the past five years, and this one blows them all away. The only thing that comes close is the Cleveland Launcher (330 version), but that club isn't nearly as forgiving as this one. The GBB II is extremely long. When I tested it, even with the face taped up and the sole taped up, I was bombing the Rock Flite range balls around 260-270. For me, that's LONG. I usually am lucky to hit a drive 250 with my Nike 350cc driver, which is now out of the bag forever. But the real selling point of this driver is its forgiveness. Balls hit on the toe are especially forgiven, as they draw back into the fairway with minimal loss of distance. I haven't smashed one off the heel yet, so I don't know about that. But overall, you'd be nuts not to try this baby out. You will be amazed by its performance. This time, Callaway got it right and I believe this is one of their high-priced drivers that is worth the dough. Customer Service Don't know.
