Bought this club new for 149 bucks. Hit it in an indoor, mini-trial room and liked it. Price was very appealing. Took it to the range, a different story. Had the 10 degree. Ball flight was low for a 10 degree. Returned it for another thinking maybe it was rated wrong. Same low ball flight. Smallish head by todays standards. Also a smallish sweet spot. Quite frankly this is probably a great club in the hands of a better player. I was way too inconsistent with it. If you shoot in the 90-100 range, this is probably not the club for you. Older technology. Too many newer model out there to choose from. Especially those 460/forgiving/drive it a mile drivers. Now if I could only find one!!!! |

Bought like new at a local golf store for $100. I have the 10 degree with the System 55 shaft and this is a great club. I hit it better than the Taylormade R580 I have. Everyone who tries it finds the same thing I did - it is a nice club. I hit 270 - 280 off the tee in warm weather. I am hitting more fairways and have a lot of confidence in the club. Sound is not an issue to and I like the sound this one makes. Customer Service Never used Similar Products Used: Taylormade R580, Nike Sasquatch |

I've been using this club for over a year and absolutely love it. The head is not too big (or small) and looks very unique. It gives a thud-like sound which might turn some people off. But honestly, by the time you hear the impact, the ball is well on its way. I have tested this club and the new FT-3 Fusion and found little to no difference in performance. I prefer the ERC over the FT-3 because the FT-3 is too big for my taste. Both use almost identical technology, and you can find this one for about $200 less. I had a firm Grafalloy Blue shaft put on this season and it made my game off the tee better. Very workable, powerfull club. Highly recommended! |

What can I say? I hadnt played in 7 years because of back surgery. I was totally confused with all the new technology. I spoke with a Callaway Rep, he recommended the ERC Fusion. The club feels solid, I can move it either way, and more importantly, when I miss it, it stays in play. Customer Service Callaways' customer service is one of the reasons I went to Callaway. I ran a retail golf store in the 90s, and Callaway was then, and still is today, the number 1 customer service company in golf, period!!!! Similar Products Used: Taylormade, Cleveland, Ping |

I'm a young guy so I involuntarly try to kill the ball with a driver. I've discovered that with this club I can pretty much swing as hard as I want to and the ball goes nearly dead straight every time without fail. The sound it makes was a put off at first but now I've grown to love. This is an excellent club for anyone who likes hitting a long ball down teh center cut. I'm 66 years old with a smooth swing and a 4 handicap. I've been looking for a driver with which I can consistently hit drives of 240-250 with a slight draw. THIS IS THE ONE! I found it on eBay a couple weeks ago through Callaway pre-0wned for $95. What a steal. So what if the sound is a little on the clunky side. Its the results that count. I was looking for a driver that could get the Cobra 440 out of my bag.I went to the local pro shop and they had a brand new ERC fusion.I took it to the range with the Great big bertha and the r5.The ERC out shot them all. Ive played about 6-7 rounds with it now and hit some of the furthest and straightest drives ive had in a while. The club is great for me and you should try it sometime to find out.The sound is a little unordinary but who cares when the ball flys great and has alot of roll to follow. This Callaway Fusion ECR 10 degree driver will stay in my bag.Hit this on the range , picked my spot to land the ball , hit the spot 8 out of ten times, nice carry with a nice smooth loft. Anyone who can't hit this needs lessons. I have refused to give up my 10 degree Biggest Big Bertha until I found this at a cart demo sale for $99.00 .Took it to the range and hit the cleanest drives in my life, long (260 or better and straight as a arrow) and I am 55 and been golfing since I was ten when golf wasn't cool.Hit this with a smooth slow swing and it flies off the head. I belive that this club is for everyone as I have a swing speed of 90 and I have been considered longer then most of the players I play with, most of us are not scratch golfers as most of the posts would have you belive. If you can find this club for $150.00 or less grab it , it will blow away the knockoff listed in the same price range. I never buy a new model of club, the asking price is to dear the first year and my game is not to the level that I am looking to save a shot or two, more like ten if I can stay in the middle of the fairway and this club will do that. Looking forward to beating my foresome this year. Just a great club , Might have time to find there balls in the bush and water, oh well will save money not buying lost balls Customer Service Have used Callaway before and rate there service tops Similar Products Used: Callaway Gbb, Ping , Demoed R540 Cobra 440 and Jazz Cfo |

I have been using a cobra sz 440 for a while, but was looking for more distance. I tried a buddy's fusion during a game around the holidays. All I can say is wow, I blew 40 yards past my initial drive with the cobra. I hit it a couple more times to see if it was a fluke or accident, but ended up with the same long long results. I bought one on e-bay, 9 degree with an NV 65-Regular flex. My cobra was a 9 degree with a Graphite Design 5.5 stiff flex. The initial fusion I tried was a 10 degree with a stock regular flex shaft. I took both clubs to the range to see which club was going for sale on e-bay. The fusion is staying. Shot dispersion was incredible compared to the cobra. The fusion is definitly more forgiving. As far as distance, the fusion has a longer air time and carry. I averaged 220-240 carry with the cobra, and averaged 250 + with the fusion. The fusion significantly had more roll after the carry than the cobra. In all fairness I think using a regular flex vs. a stiff flex might have had something to do with increased distance. My swing speed is 95 mph, borderline stiff based on most shaft makers. I normally would get stiff, until I tried a fusion with a regular flex shaft. Anyone using a stiff flex, you might want to try a more flexible shaft if you want to gain more distance. The sound sounds like a muffled whack, which is quite different from the cobra. You can actually go by the sound to get your feedback, a very dule whack is on the sweet spot, but a pingy whack is usually a mis-hit, confirmed by the impact tape. I bought this mint condition on e-bay for 109 shipped. I'm happy with the club overall, but I have not tried the new fusion FT-3:))) Similar Products Used: Big Bertha II, Titliest 983K, Cobra 350,427,440, Taylor Made R580, |
