Let me start by saying that I haven't had the opportunity to actually use this club on the course yet. I just bought it a couple months ago, and Ohio weather blows. That being said, I took it to the range a couple of time and noticed an improvement in my length and straightness. It took quite a few shots to get used to, as my first half-bucket or so of balls dribbled about 40 feet in front of me. After that, most of my shots went straight down the range and at least 210 or so. My only complaint is a minor one-after one round at the range, the face was extremely marked-up. I was told by a guy at my local golf shop as well as by Callaway customer service that this is normal due to the softer carbon material. The club is also extremely lightweight. For me, that is great so that I can get even greater swing speed, but I guess club weight is an individual preference. And, don't let the people who say "the sound is funny" dissuade you from buying it-it really isn't that noticeable of a sound. I have an 11* with reg flex graphite. Customer Service Callaway service is great. I called just to ask them about the ball marks, and they immediately offered to send me a brand new club. |

Having previously used varied drivers including the Callaway ERC II, the Yonex V-Mass 400 and the King Cobra SS 430, and not really being totally satisfied with any of those, along came a C4 at the right price, and it's changed my game for the better! I now have the confidence to step up to the tee and take out the C4 & nail that Pro V1 straight down the fairway, both with draw & fade, and totally accurate 99% of the time. The duller sound it makes on impact when compared to the previous clubs I have used isn't a problem, because I want accuracy & distance; sound doesn't bother me! I strongly suggest you give one of these a go! (my spec is 9 degree, firm RCH shaft) Customer Service Superb! Hamshaw's is without doubt the South of England's best golf store. This is in response to Lee Blank's review. I am 17 years old. I personally had the Callaway VFT Hawkeye Driver after my Wilson Deep Red shaft broke. The VFT was great for about 5 shots, but then I started developing a major slice. Couldn't figure it out at all. I noticed that the face of the club is curved, whereas the C4 is flat. I took the VFT up to Blackhead Mountain Lodge in upstate New York, and lost an entire box of Top-Flite XL2000 balls, each and every one sliced badly into the woods. Thank god for Nike Tour Accuracies. I prefer the C4. I use the Cobra SS 427 now (THE BEST driver on the market today), but the C4 was a good club. Hit it about 210 consistently. If you can get over the very dull sound of it (sounds like a cap gun shot), and concentrate on accuracy, this club works wonders. It's lightweight, too. Go for the C4. You won't be disappointed. After all, for $200, what better club can you get? Customer Service Callaway quickly refunded me for the VFT. Money went into a Cobra 427. What an amazing club. I was using the Steelhead 3, which is a great club. I always wanted something with a bigger head and longer shaft. I stayed with the steal head drivers because I could never control the longer shaft. Finally I found something that works. I think this is due to the lightness of the club. I'm about 140lbs, and far from a weightlifter. If you aren't that strong a player, this is the club for you. I feel like I swing this a lot easier and yet get about 15 yards more than my steelhead 3 driver. I think the reason some people comment they lose distance, is because they aren't use to the lightness of the club and have a tendency to break the wrists to soon because they don't feel like they are pulling a weight like they are accustomed to. Because it's lighter, I now feel like I can better delay my release and still square the club in time for impact. All I can say is that for me, this club fit like a glove right away. This club is great, i dont know why many people look down on this club, i almost didnt get it due to the bad reviews, good thing i didnt listen to them. I have gained 20+ yards on my drives and all of them are landing in the fairway. I also like sound, i would head out and at least try one out. |

This club is great! I had a Taylor Made 300 driver with a bimatrix shaft before, and the C4 has added at least 20 yards off the tee. I am a shorter, accurate iron player so those 20 yards have allowed me to shoot even lower! |

i love this club. Even though I am only 18, it has helped me to keep my rounds in the 60's and low 70's. This club goes a mile. Even with my high swings speed (over 130 MPH), it still goes dead straight 330 yards down the fairway.Great Club Customer Service good Similar Products Used: vft |

The club is extremely light. I'm a big guy so I didn't like this so well. The club has a tendency to make you over swing due to the lightness of the club. But if you swing easy and let the club do the work it's a very accurate club. I recently switched to the Cleveland 400 Launcher. No Comparison, They're selling this club for less than 200 dollars for a reason. Do Waste Your Money. Customer Service None. Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher, Vft. |

Extremely light driver with a strange sound. Very, very forgiving - but a bit hard to get use to. My advice is to let the driver do the work. I like the accuracy more than the length of the drives. Excellent material and design. |
