After reading all the reviews from all the good players like yourself in the low 70,70 and 80. still want to find out for myself specially when the prize are drop down to $300, and I'm glad that I did. get more distance out of it than my old glory Biggest Big Bertha. I am guessing that, may be I'm a slow swinger and only swing 3/4 way with the ultra light shaft, reg flex, hit it bulleye sweet spot 7 out of 10. For me little more distance and 7 0 out of 10 I take that any day. please read the reviews(GOOD or BAD) go try to hit them and see it for yourself, and if you love it than get it. Remember don't buy or hate it because of what other said. Golf is a passion game choose your clubs wisely and you will enjoy them in many years. large sweet spot, beautiful craftmanship, great Quality and great sound on contact. Can not ask for more than this Callaway you got one more customer for life.

I FIRST HIT THIS CLUB ON THE COURSE WHEN I HIT MY FRIENDS CLUB, IT HAD A SENIOR SHAFT AS HE IS A SLOW SWINGER AND 11 DEGREES LOFT, I USUALY FADE THE BALL BUT THE CLOSED FACE MADE ME HIT A SMALL DRAW, I THOUGHT THE BALL FLIGHT WOULD BE HIGHER WITH THE LOFT, BUT IT WAS PERFECT WITH A PENETRATING TRADJECTORY AND GOOD ROLL, IT IS VERY LONG AND THE PRICE IN AUSTRALIA IS VERY CHEAP.

I purchased a 9 degree firm flex driver and 3 wood in regular. I love these clubs. Alot of what has been said befor is spot on. The sound the club makes is superb and it adds to the quality of the shots. I began by hiiting hooks - nasty and low. To get over this you must use a nice smooth swing and I have had to spend quite alot of time working on this. I have lengthend my swing and just tried to let the club flow - when I do the ball just scorches off the club. I am now regularly hitting 280yds off the tee. Well worth the effort to get the results. The headcover is superb quality and the 3 wood is easily the best I have hit - both clubs are brilliant. Now the price has come down there is no reason not to buy!

I could take my old driver (Tayler Made 300 series) and take the ERCII and be amazed. With a full swing of the Taylor Made I would average 275, and maybe roll one 300. I can take the ERCII and swing half as hard and hit it 15 yards longer.

I was using a titleist 975D as my driver most of the time. I was satisfied that I was hitting straight but was a little disappointed that the most I could get was about 220 yards with it. My son put the bug in my ear that we should look at new drivers. I took him up on it and were torn between the Nike and the Callaway ERC II. the man at Watts recommended the ERC II. The first time we hit it I could not believe how straight and how far the ball went. It has since changed my game. I am now doing 250+ off the tee and are getting to the greens much easier. I think it is a shame that the USGA has to raise such a fuss about an additional COR of 0.03 It is a great club and worth getting. Hats off to Callaway for a high tech club.

I read all the these reviews prior to and tried all the competitors and I went into this with an open mind. I generally shoot in the mid 70's and I know how a golf club should feel and produce. Now to address the concerns I read here... First of all, the noise is a non issue...everyone has said that it sounds like a muted "cow bell". It is fine. Secondly, I am getting 20-25 yards more off the tee as I am now hitting it almost 300 consistently off the tee. Lastly, the ball absolutely jumps off the clubface with a nice trajectory. The club is very forgiving and has a good size sweet spot. I bought the driver and given the results...I am now looking for the rest of the woods! Great club!!!

Absolutely, the most difficult to hit driver that I've ever seen. I don't know if I just got a bad driver or what, but this thing is impossible to hit. I'm a 14 handicapper and I normally hit my driver well, but I'd tee off with an iron before I'd use this club.

i purchaced this erc 2 and immediately took it to a local golf shop and had it reshafted with a harrison titanium pro 2.5 shaft it is a pretty awesome weapon. hitting it a bit further than the oem callaway shaft but i have alot more control, i still think the driver of choice is the titleist 975j with the proforce 65 shaft.

Had a 10 degree and realized the degree of hook face was screwing up my swing. Dropped down to an 8 degree (with a square face) and could not be happier. Very easy club to fade or draw, mis-hits are very forgiving, and unlike other reviews, I find it almost impossible to duck hook (could be the square club face available in the lower lofts). Yea, I can get it out there pretty well (averaging 285), and I feel I could hit any driver of similiar loft and lie (and have), but the ERC II inspired confidence at address - with a smaller club face than most "big dogs," and what I would argue is a huge sweet spot, this is the driver for me, regardless of what the USGA says. FYI, passed on my 10 degree to my dad, but the shaft was too stiff - he turned that in for an 11 degree with a senior flex and loves it.

Customer Service

I snapped my first driver, and had a new one in two days. My dad wanted a different loft and shaft, and no questions asked, he got one in two days as well.

This is an awesome stick! Easily 20-30 yards longer that my Ti-Bubble 2 and I hit it much more consistently. As far as the sound goes, I personally love it. There's no doubt when you hit it square. Well worth the $$ spent.
