Callaway Big Bertha 460 Drivers

Callaway Big Bertha 460 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

The Big Bertha 460 Driver is designed with a geometry close to the dimensional limit set by the USGA/R&A for length and width. This enables Callaway Golf engineers to incorporate a 460cc head design with a shallower face, flatter shape and the highest Moment of Inertia ever in a Callaway Golf all-titanium head-resulting in longer and straighter off-center shots. In addition, the Stretched Head Design allows the center of gravity (CG) to be positioned deeper within the clubhead to achieve optimum ball flight and maximum forgiveness.

I purchased the Big bertha callaway used. This driver is very forgiving. I previously used a titleist 983K that was awesome when hit. The problem w/ that driver was it had a smaller clubface, which meant less forgivness. Anyhow, i'm still in the beginning faze, but i picked up my driving game pretty quickly. I'm able to hit nice draws and fades w/ this driver. I would definetely recommend it, and i plan on keeping it for a long time.

Long and straight. Can fade or draw shots. 10 yards longer than Ping Rapture. Best driver that I have played with. Try it! You will like it!

I bought the bb 460 yesterday and took it to the driving range. I loved it. My ball went straight and 225 yds. I liked it because you could swing nice and easy and it would pick up off the tee and go. You didnt have to kill it. Very Good Driver to me.

The most important thing I want out of a driver is to allow me to hit the ball as far as I possibly can. This Big Bertha does just that. It will not straighten out a bad hit nor will it cause one, that is all you can ask of a club. I am 62 years old and golf 3-4 times a week. The BB 460 adds about 20-30 yards to my drive. I have the 10.5 stiff shaft and this is the first shaft that doesn't cause my fast swing to slice. I highly recommend this club.

I just finished trying out a Ping G5 and Big Bertha 460 at the range...both demo clubs and mine for 150.00, just had to choose one. After 1/2 way through my bucket I chose the Callaway, the shaft was a touch shorter and felt lighter, both had stiff shafts. The Callaway was by far the more forgiving on mis hits. Distance wise both were about the same but I can't believe the differance in control. I usually hit about 275-290 but have always had to compensate and play a fade, a fade that at times becomes a wicked slice that has golfers on adjacent fairways diving for cover. This club only allowed about a 5-8 yard fade with a straight address at the ball! no more aiming right to land centre (I'm a lefty). The suprising thing to was the G5 was 10.5 and the Callaway 10 but the Callaway seemed to climb higher. Its a sharp looking club, sounds great off the tee and hopefully it will live up on the course. One thing, don't overswing, this club does just fine with an even tempo, something I had to work on tonight. Too big a swing and watch out right!

i shot my best round 69. this driver is a dream beutifull looks and feel.. i can take an easy swing or go for that extra yardage with a faster swing. i just feel the ball is going to go where i want it, no doubts on the tee....any one struggling with there tee shots i recommend them to try this driver

Great driver for under $200 now. BB460 is an awesome club. Very forgiving on mis-hits and hot off the face. Reminds me of a g5 and Nike SQ mixed together. Like the gray top line. The stock shaft in both flexes is pretty whippy and I'm not a high speed swing speed player. I reshafted with NV65/stiff and this combo is fantastic. I have tried them all and was surprised at a fitting that this gave me the best numbers. I'll gladly accept that and use the extra two hundy to add to the putter collection. As a previous poster stated the headcover is not that great.

Model Reviewed: Callaway Big Bertha 460 Driver

I bought this driver after hitting a friend's in a scramble. I bought it through Callaway's pre-owned site, and it was in like new condition.

The ball jumps off the face and usually in the direction you want it to go. I normally play a big fade and sometimes slice. I also take a 3/4 swing with a relatively slow tempo. I just played a full round with this driver and only hit one ball into the extreme right. Every drive was 240-250, and most of them were in the fairway. With my old driver (TM Burner Bubble 2) and using the same swing, I would only reach 225 or so, and usually in the right rough.

I play only a few times per year, and my last two rounds prior to using this driver were 113 and 116. The first round I played with this driver was 102 on a tough course. It was mostly due to the added length, which meant I was hitting 6-7 iron approaches instead of 4-5 iron approaches.

No lessons, no practice, and 10 strokes off my game. I would recommend this club to any high-handicap golfer who is just looking to add some enjoyment back into their game.

Customer Service

I bought it from Callaway pre-owned and had a great experience. Club was in like-new condition and was shipped to me within a week. A new model would cost $150 plus tax, but I was able to pick it up for $117 including tax and shipping!
