Ben Hogan CS-3 8.5* draw bias stiff flex
I have been having driver issues for awhile. I tend to push and push/slice too often with too high of a ball flight with a lot of the drivers Ive used. A friend of mine, recommended that I try this driver at 8.5 degrees, knowing that I hit 10 and 10.5 way too high. Recently been using an R7 Quad 10.5 that balloons on me, I thought why not experiment. He said check out Edwin Watts, they have them for $99 bucks. Well, I got the club and have to report that after playing 9 holes and hitting it 3 out of 4 fairways Im very pleased. A more soaring ball flight and even a slight draw on one drive, which I never do. Hit one drive on very wet track easy 250 carry, other ones 230-240 carry but most important to me in the fairway. I love the sound. Having played slowpitch softball for 25 yrs, the sound reminded me of balls I crushed with an aluminum bat. This club still hits him high but not the ballooning and hitting a wall like shot Ive been hitting. This combo feels right to me. I recommend anyone having driver issues to check this club out. Its inexpensive enough to not be a bust if it does not work for you. But I think it will . Just go lower in loft if you hit high. Customer Service Great. Patient and very helpful after listening to my description of my swing. Highly recommend Edwin Watts. Similar Products Used: Callaway VFT Hawkeye, Cleveland Launcher, Cally BB 454 |

This driven puts the "SSSS" in SWING. Previous I played with a Taylor Made R7 which is now currently on EBAY waiting for a new home and been replace by Big Ben. Effortless club which hits the ball straight and long true. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Taylor Made R7, Adam Dual 460 |

As a huge leap of faith, traded in my Cally GBBII 10 deg for the Hogan just before a big weekend at Bandon Dunes.
Customer Service we'll see if the boys at Roger Dunn will swap out for lower loft. callaway/hogan customer service has well earned positive reputation. Similar Products Used: Callaway GBBII

C-S3 10.5° Stiff
I am on a 12 handicap at the moment and got this driver to Australia new from Edwin Watts Golf for AU$176 inc. freight (absolute bargain, sells for around AU$270 if you buy local). A friend has the 9.5° stiff C-S3 which I loved so I ordered the 10.5° stiff neutral as I hit a relatively flat ball. My old driver is a Srixon XXIO 9° stiff which, although still a great driver (its staying in my bag for windy days), is a bit less forgiving and too flat for some holes on our local course. I am one of the longer hitters in our club and have found that using the C-S3 has given me a lot more confidence to "go for it". My driving distance averages about 300 yards (and yes I have a Leica Laser Rangefinder!) with the odd mis-hit being less and a few drives being furthur. I haven't gained much more length with the C-S3 but in the last 5 rounds have hit roughly 80% of fairways instead of about 50% (with driver). The ones that have missed have still been very close.

Ben Hogan "Big Ben" C S3 10.5 Regular Flex
I bought "Big Ben" yesterday at Bass Pro for $99 bucks. Best money I have spent on equipment since I took up the game about 15 years ago. I have been looking for a driver to get me to scratch. I currently carry a 2 handicap, but not for long. I have found my driver. Played today and hit every fairway. Sometimes no longer than with my old driver, sometimes longer, as much as 20-30 yards at times. ALWAYS IN THE FAIRWAY. Line up down the right side and watch it draw right back to the middle. I bought the Draw version. I was using an old Tommy Armour that is more like a 2 wood, or even a three wood, by today's standards. Love Tommy, but needed more distance if I am too keep up with the Jones. So I tried Big Ben.

BH cs3 8.5 draw
Outstanding club. Plus for $99.00 can not be beat. I hit the club well over 300 yards with accuracy. I bought a 9.5 degree draw for my son and he is blasting down the middle in florida. I think I will buy another while they make them. If you are looking for a driver a titanium driver this is awesome. The shaft will hit the ball high..so go with the 8.5 to counter balance and hit the ball a ton. I feel like Happy Gilmore on some shots. Ben Hogan CS-3 10.5 Stock Stiff
First a little about myself. I've been golfing for 6 years. My best score this year is a couple of 77s - on my bad days I'll creep into the low 90's (not that often though - need a few balls OB or have a really bad day putting). Slope at my home course is 128. I (unfortunatally) have a low launch and high spin with my driver (yep, that's the exact opposite to what you want to have - I was checked on a vector launch monitor). I also have a naturally flat swing - I never new it until I saw a video of myself. My drives at sea level carry about 210-220 and roll to about 230-240. My swing speed is 95 on average (up to 105 if I'm in the groove), and my ball speed is mid 130s, and into the 140s on occations). So, onto the Ben Hogan CS-3 review - which, by the way, has a titanium body and a steel face (yah, not what you would think with Titanium written on the club):

Been in the fairway on automatic for the nine months since I got it on Ebay on a whim for about 90 bucks. Unbelievable control. I was playing a Taylor Made 320, which goes a little futher when hit on the screws, but being in the fairway has really cut my scores. I love this club.
