Don't waste your money expecting this club to help your ball flight. Instead spend your money on lessons to cure a slice or hook. Very disappointing considering all the hype regarding "spin control technology". Similar Products Used: Callaway Big Bertha |

Adams SC Fade Control, 9 degree
This is a very steady performer of a club. It doesn't quite live up to the hype with its "fade control" claims, but its a nice stick nevertheless. I actually hit this club side-by-side with a borrowed nuetral Adams SC and could not tell a difference. To the positives: This club launches the ball on a medium/high trajectory for some terrific distance. The stock Adams shaft seems to be very good, holding up to hard swings pretty well. The club can be hit from the fairway too. You can feel the head throughout the swing with its decent weight and it's very solid at impact. Overall a very good club as long as the player doesn't expect too much from the claims of flight pattern. And with its awkward look at address, the player would either have to take to it right away or get used to it over time. For me, I'm getting more and more comfortable with the look and therefore, more and more comfortable lettin' it rip! Adams SC 818FC 10.5 degree w/UST PF65 shaft
I have previously reviewed the same club in 9 degrees with a stiff/stock shaft. This one is 10.5 degrees, and I had the stock shaft removed and had a UST ProForce65 shaft in regular flex and cut to 44 inches, inserted. Customer Service Personally, I haven't had any experience with the manufacturer. But everthing that I've read about them states Adams to be a first class organization. One that does not hesitate to stand behind its product. Similar Products Used: Too darn many to list! |

Adams SC 818 N 9degree
I have had this club for about 3 months now and I must say I not total satisfied with the club. I tried the Callaway Steelhead and the Taylor Made 10 degree SuperSteel 9.5 degree before settling on this club. The Supersteel was shortest of the three but very straight with a great sound but lacking is feel a litte. The Callaway as very low and I found it harder to hit due to the deeper pear shaped bottom often digging in the ground to much. With the Adams I hit it longer and straighter but the solid hit feel is just not consistent and more rare than I like. I find myself using my Ping I3 steel 3 wood more often than I want instead of the Adams. Also take a good look a the weld points. This club is a little rough around the edges compared to some other premium drivers. It is more affordable but now I am beginng to look for a replacement. Perhaps the Ping TISI or the rumored new steel version which may be more affordable. I was hitting my $69 Ram TI face insert 10 degree just a far or farther but it did not have the forgivness of this Adams. Now if I can find a club slightly longer than the Adams with the forgiveness of the Adams and a better sound. I also am not crazy about the firm shaft. After talking to the Adams folks and found I was on the edge of firm and stiff with 95 MPH swing speed but firm is still to stiff for my liking. Buy the most flexable shaft you can controll. Good luck with your driver hunting. Customer Service Ok factory recommended firm shaft but after extended use should have gotten regular. Adams SC Driver 814N
This driver is excellent. It is a very classic looking club. Great feel. I have gained about 30 yards but you do tend to sky the ball if hit a little too high on the face. But overall, a great looking and feeling club. Similar Products Used: Cleveland Tour Titanium |

The minute I laid eyes on this club I knew it wasn't going to be good. Maybe I was setting myself up for failure, but the club didn't help change my mind. Looking down at the club on address is the first problem. It looks like a big club (like the kind you use to pound metal stakes into the ground). The look reminded me of the old Northwestern drivers. After hitting it several times, I found the head to be very clumsy with poor balance on the swing-through. I hit the 9 degree model and it still skied the ball too easily. This tells me the head is just a bigger version of the fairway wood that is a bit more convincing. Overall, a big disappointment in my book. This club is great. I usually hit practically no fairways and have a bad fade. Sometimes I don't even get the ball off the tee box. Now I hit the ball solidly almost every time and have added 40 yards on my drive. I also hit 13/14 fairways last time I golfed. Thanks Adams. |

Adams SC Fade Control
Definitely takes a while to get used to this driver. Having used Callaway for a while, I wasn't used to teeing the ball so low and the feeling of more weight towards the club head. Impact seems solid and the distance was a bit further than my GBB when hit squarely. It did control my fade some. But bad swings will still send the ball OB. This driver doesn't really live up to the hype... Similar Products Used: GBB, GBB Hawkeye, Orlimar, Taylor Made |

I have converted to ADAMS 100%. I have nothing but good things to say about my SC Driver. I have given up my Calloway Great Big Bertha Ti Driver. The SC has improved my distance by 20 to 30 yards. It has afforded me the ability to delete most of my fade that I was destin to have. The weight of the club seems to naturally pull the club down though the ball. The SC is truthfully a plus that was addedto the ADAMS line. Gary Bloomer ADAMS FOREVER Similar Products Used: I have the 2,3,5,9 and the orig. assult fairwaywoods. All by ADAMS. |

SC Driver--stiff shaft
This club should correct my slice to some extent, and it has. Although I still need to work on my swing, a moderately corrective club like this is the ticket for me. I find that by slowing down my swing the ball will fly straighter. I can hit it a ton, but as Harvey Penick says, ""The woods are full of long hitters."" So with a little work on the range, maybe a lesson or two, and the SC Driver, I should be in the short grass in no time. Similar Products Used: None |
