Adams Redline 460
For about $100, I got a Redline 460 9.5* with Graphite Design's purple ice shaft S-flex. To compare, I also have a Redline 10.5* with Aldila NV 65-R. The Redline's toe weighting seems to suit me pretty well (help to close the face at impact), all I have to do just point and swing. The purple ice shaft seems to make all the difference, solid and live feel, extremely tight dispersion, perfect trajectory for my swing (85-92 mph), with quite a bit of roll not seen in most of my drive with other drivers (except the non-conforming Snake Eyes Aermet/Phoenixx shaft and Tour Edge Hyper Steel 300cc). In the range, sometimes I can have 3 balls in the row going to the same exact line. Now about 40% of time, I can drive to 235-250 yards, the percentage of solid shots are approaching 95% on courses. Distance is quite comparable to Killer Bee's non-conforming Stinger 500cc driver (rifle 6.0 steel), however, the redline enjoys much lower dispersion. Untill I reshaft Killer Bess's 500cc driver, won't know whether the purple ice is single factor. Both these two drivers give the most forgivness in terms of ease to hit and size of hot spot among what I have tested: latest Taylor Made, Ping and Titleist with purple ice shaft, none of them come close to Adams Redline 460 even with stock Fujikura shaft in terms of forgiveness (at least for me). My search for driver at least can stop for a while. I have my Snake Eyes Quick Strike 14* and 22* wood replaced with purple ice R and X, worked quite well. Again, solid feel like EI-70 or steel shaft, but purple ice shaft comes with lot tighter dispersion and higher trajectory needed for long woods. Also tried Grafalloy prolauch hybrid, couldn't make much out of it. Grafalloy Blue and YS-6 feel bit stiff for my slower tempor and swing speed on Redline 460 even with R-flex. Customer Service Great custom service, had a GT 363R send back and fill the weight materials last year, no question asked. Similar Products Used: most major brands and latest drivers until Nov 2004 |

Adams Redline
I have a fair bit of spare time while I'm at work and i like to read about golf and golf products on the internet. I was previously using a Wilson Powersource, a 429cc Ti Composite and had nightmares with it. I went thru 3 of them and decided i needed a more quality driver. I chose the Redline as it had a massive head and adams are a quality brand and the reviews i read on this site were all positive so i thought why not and bought one off Ebay. I should have test driven it but as i live in West Australia it is sometimes tough to get different products. Make a long story short got one with a stiff aldila green, couldnt hit at first, then got over it opened the stance and BOOM. Matching my mate with his GBII, who is the biggest driver of the ball i know. SAWHEET bombing them past 250m on the full. Recommend it. I'm 21 and adams is definitely not just for the oldies. Will definitely be looking at the redline fairway woods as this i a most excellent club and its value for money cannot be beaten. Redline (10.5*)
I've played golf for eight years now and in that span of time I've used a LOT of drivers. The one just before this Adams Redline was another Adams product, a GT 410cc 10* and I hit it VERY well, BUT when I saw the prices coming down online for the Redlines and since a friend of mind had one at the time and "loved" his, I bought this one, a 10.5* model. I'd been hitting the GT 410 about 220-240 yds. BUT now that I'm getting used to the larger redline I'm getting around 240-260 yds. out of my drives. It does make a very loud noise when hit solidly but that doesn't present a problem for me,,, I could care less about that, as long as the shot is good. The "Adams G75 by Fujikura" shaft in mine is a stiff flex BUT plays more like a FIRM flex,,,, this works great for me BUT may not for others so, I thought I'd mention it here. Over all a VERY good driver that I think will stay in my bag a good long while. ............. Customer Service Never needed them yet and I've had more than a few of their products in the past. i first bought it on ebay 100$ great deal. took it to range i hit it the worst ive ever hit a club but as time went on i could controll this pit bull. first time i took it golfing with my dad ( hes got a cleveland launcher ) tried it hit it ok. my dad drove the ball 220 yards. by the fifth hole i was hitting 250+ down the middle driving my dad crazy as he tried to keep up with me :). its giagantic the sweet spot is bigger then the golf ball, so its very forgiving. its size is 460cc (biggest possible) ps it sounds like a gun shot on the course :) Similar Products Used: none nothing is like this |

Redline 400cc Tour
Picked mine up off of Ebay, $140 new (might have paid a little too much) with a Grafalloy Blue Pro Launch S flex. I have hit many, many drivers, this one is simply the best I have ever hit. The 10.5* loft I worried would be too much, it's not. Really easy to control, and as long as anything out there (OEM) when really cranked. Swing smooth and they are right down the pipe, for me, 260 to 280. Ripped on the other day 340, no wind, not much roll. A really great stick at a really great price. My Big Bang is long, but not nearly as consistent. The 400cc head is just right, not huge, not too small.... Get one! Customer Service No need Similar Products Used: Almost everything |

Adams Redline
Thus far, I have not been a great fan of Adams Golf. I have always considered their product to be high handicap/senior golfer oriented merchandise. The Redline, while appealing to the mid-high handicapper surprisingly appeals to the low handicapper as well. The face is ultra hot, launches high and long with tons of carry, and the 46 inch stock stiff shaft by our friends at Fujikura feels great. Easy enough to draw or fade. The face does not appear overly closed. Don't get me wrong at 460cc it's one heck of a big head, but in some odd way it still appears sleak. The word 'long' definitely applies to this club. When hit on teh screws this driver is a real weapon and is very long indeed. The sound, is of course another story but never the less, it's a great club and plenty of bargains can be found on Ebay for $100 (US). If you have a tendency to hit it high, you may wish to go 1 degree less in loft, as there is a significant amount of weight placed low. In short, I rate this club very very high. Adams 11.5 Reg Flex Fugi Shaft
Finally put away my Taylor Made 300 Ti. This Adams driver had all the technology - 460 cc, .830 cor. These are the USGA limits. Drivers have improved a lot over the last 5 years, but I'm not sure how they are going to get better after this. I guess weightings or shafts. I love this driver. It's as light or lighter than my TM. I have a slower swing speed (mid 80's) so I went with the higher loft of 11.5 (no offset). I'm not sure that people understand, today's balls are meant to fly higher if you want to get the full distance out of them. The average loft on the PGA 5-10 years ago was an 8.5 or 9.5, now it's 9.5 or 10.5. So I am playing a 11.5 getting more distance and forgiveness. I hit the Cleveland, TM R7, TM 500's, Nike, Cobra, and Titleist drivers. Went and hit lots of drivers three different occasions and kept coming back to the Redline. If money had been no consideration, I MIGHT have purchased a Cobra 440 SZ 12 degree. However I got my Adams driver Brand New, shipped for $125 even. Awesome Value. This is a great driver I was hitting a 400cc regular shaft driver that came with the set I own. I read many of the reviews that are on this site before making the purchase, All reviews are right on the money, I was getting average drives of 250 yrds and now there 275+ and in much better control, I took the advice of most revirews and went to the range for a large bucket before the course, I found this driver to be EASY to hit and very light , I would reccomend this driver to anyone looking to improve distance and accuracy. As usual another quality Adams product and for a great price on Ebay. Customer Service Have not needed to contact them. Similar Products Used: Cobra,Cleveland,Taylormade. |

Adams Redline Driver 10.5 Reg Fuji
Just picked this club up a couple of weeks ago for $120 on ebay new. What a deal. For the money this is deffinatley the best club on the market. I've tried about every driver out there. This club with the stock fujikura reg shaft has great control, feel, and distance. I normally play a firm or stiff 9 deg. driver. I think this shaft and 10.5 plays very similar. I really can feel the ball fire off the face. The club feels very light and responsive. The trajectory is just what I want. I'm confident that I can turn the ball over with this club unlike most I've tried. The club has a pretty tinny sound but when you connect the sound doesn't sound too bad. The face of the club isn't too deep so you can stay with standard tees. I'm very happy with this purchase. Let's see how long the honeymoon lasts. Customer Service Haven't needed it.
