Model Reviewed: Adams 460 Dual 10.5 Prolaunch R

I was very disappointed in this club. Bought it with Grafalloy Prolaunch 65R 10.5* Not even close to my Cleveland Launcher 460 with NV65 R. Didn't seem to matter how I set the weights up. Accurate but not much disatnce.

Model Reviewed: Adams RPM 460D 9.5* w/ Aldila 65 shaft

I did not buy this club because the price is not right yet as it is new. I bought the Cobra SZ 460 9.0* w/Aldila 60 shaft which I had hit about the same instead on ebay. The new Adams Dual RPM I hit with Aldila shaft was very accurate, consistent and long. I tried the G2, the Big Bertha, the Adams RPM, and a few others as well at the indoor range (not for sale and costs $50,000 -_______-). Anyway, the new 9.0* Cobra 460 SZ was a hair consistently longer (hit upwards of 200 balls that day into the screen) than the newer 9.5* Adams 460 Dual, but not as consistently accurate (slight draw) than the newer Adams. I really like both clubs in Golf Pride grips, Aldila shafts, and the gargantuan whacking sound and forgiveness over all of the other clubs tried. The only clubs that weren't available to demo (and I wasn't willing to ask for ghost tape) were the TM R7/R5 etc. and the Olimar, Mizuno etc. etc. So you might want to try all of these as well before deciding on the new Adams Dual Weighted Driver (of which they say is the first ever made - R5? Anyone? Who's first?). For me (means "maybe not for you") either the new Cobra 460 SZ or the newer Adams 460 Dual would suit me perfectly in distance, swingspeed, playability (with edge to the Adams here), and accuracy. Really great club this Adams Dual driver. Was a hard decision to go against this all-purpose driver for the Cobra (not adjustable), but price at the time warranted it. Maybe I'll get one later when the price comes down, who knows?
