Club is great! Was on a Cleveland Hi Bore XL previously but wasn't as accurate. The XTD is really easy to to make good contact. Just good tempo and the same setup and it goes straight and far. Not as long as the Hi Bore but much more consistent.

Shaft is light however, only 55 grams. If you like that then great. But I am a big guy. If you create a lot of torque probably not the best shaft. Really need to have a smooth transition and create speed late in your downswing.

Customer Service

Got it at golfsmith. Bought mine discounted becuase the plastic wrap was off. As always bec areful about that. It was hit on their mats for sure because the second day of use the ferrel cracked and the clubhead came loose. Not a big deal, warrantied. Hope it does not happen again though!

I'm fairly new to the sport of golf and borrowed this a short while ago for a trial. I was dubious at first because Adams isn't a well known name in Europe. The sudden confidence it gave me on the fairway though was immense. LONG and straight 80% of the time instead of the topping and slicing I was used to with my Wilson .. very forgiving. Picks it off the grass like it's got fingers.
I'd estimate it's taken at least 8 shots off my game. I'm gonna buy the full set that's for sure.

Model Reviewed: Adams Insight XTD A3 driver

This is a square driver that sets up beautifully (no closed face); the somewhat rounded edges make it look less radically different from traditional drivers than other square models I have tried. I find it very straight (square drivers have a high MOI so this is to be expected), gets a great trajectory, is somewhat workable, and gets about the same distance as my Callaway FT-3 and a 2007 Burner that I used until recently. I am not a long hitter but find this driver easy to hit straight with no oss of distance, possibly a slight gain, from other models I have tried. It has a very solid feel and the stock shaft (Aldila DVS) is great. I am playing a senior (A) flex but it plays like the regular flex in Callaway (NVS-R), possibly because the nano tubes in the shaft strengthen it.
I rate this the equal of other top drivers and possibly superior for directional control without loss of distance. Original price of $299 has recently been lowered to $169 --a very reasonable price for this excellent product.

Customer Service

Never used--this is my first Adams driver (used to play Tight Lies fairway woods).
