Adidas' Advanced Traxion Technology, with its ridges and permanent gripping elements, is employed in the sole in place of cleats. The shoes' design also incorporates ThinTech (getting the golfer's feet a smidge closer to the ground) and "Formotion" outsole technology (which adidas says softes the heel strike to produce a smoother feel).
