It is one of the best balls I ever hit. The ball stays in the air forever and because the ball creates minimal spin a slice is more like a fade. It's longer than the pro v1 easily. It's just as long if not longer than the Pro v1x. I average 320 yards off the tee with this ball. Today I hit a 3 iron 250 yards off the fairway and stuck it on the green(Stuck: carried it over a bunker), there was no wind. It was the best 3 iron of my life. All my buddies are pro V1 and Pro v1x snobbs. They won't use anything else. I'm sure there are a lot of you people out there that are the same way. Similar Products Used: Was a big Hogan Apex fan. Tried the Pro V1x, it's a great ball but not worth it. I want to try the Tour V and Tour Elite |

I've played this ball recently, in parallel with the Hogan Apex Tour and the last of my Wilson Smartcore Straight Distance balls. Overall it's a very pleasing ball to play with - more lively and encouraging off the club-face than the Straight Distance, with similarly excellent driving results - straight and long. It's a little less controllable than the Apex Tour around the green, but not enough for me to offset the Velocity's advantages (extra 5-10 yards on drive, durability, cost) Overall - perfectly suitable for mid-handicap golf, recommended. Just a shame it's more expensive than the Smartcore. Customer Service Not used Similar Products Used: Wilson Smartcore Straight Distance |
