Played these balls today was very pleased. The ball stopped quickly ( a few inches at most from the ball mark ) on a 7 iron shot. Full wedge shots within an inch or two. The ball putted and chipped will. Good consitent distance with my irons, and low price make this the ball for me. XL 5000 Super Long
This is an average ball, but, an improvement over the XL 3000. This is one of those balls you don't mind losing in the lake, because it's about $1.00 a ball. There were a few positives about this ball: It does fly straight. It is long (many drives over 265 yards). It stuck the greens better than I thought due to it's 8,203RPM spin rate. Negative wise: I can't stand the sound of this ball off the driver. It sounds like a high pitched squeal, common with cheap balls. I don't like this ball for putting. The cover is still too hard feeling. It's not very durable as I found a large slice in the cover in one of them. A big gash, not a small chip. I'm not even a hard core wedge player and this ball tore up WAY too easily. As you can tell, pros and cons. If you want an inexpensive ball and your a new golfer or a high handicapper, it's not bad. If there's water ahead and you want to rip one, try it out. If you're more serious and trying to lower your handicap, no way. You get what you pay for. Customer Service None so far.
