This is one of the best balls I've played in quite some time. It feels a little stiff off the driver, but it flies straight and long. I hit a good 30 to 50 yards longer than other balls I've used, including the Pro-V. The best thing is the way it performs with short irons. This is one of the few balls I can spin hard enough to make it roll back a few feet once it lands on the green (great for par-3s). The only problem is that I can't find this ball any more. I guess Top Flite changed the name and repackaged to charge a higher price.

this ball is an excellent distance ball with a reasonably soft feel, great carry and very durable cover. performance is like a combination of maxfli rev ext (for distance) and maxfli rev tour (for feel). for those who want good distance but like a good "feel" ball then it is hard to go pass these for the price.

i must say i am very impressed with this ball, im always looking at new balls and i lean towards balls i can keep down (lower dimple #'s, deeper dimples, firm ball) i am a pro v1x player looking for something similar but less expensive for practice. after comparing the tour and distance model i went with the distance for its lower spin and firmer feel, though both balls seem to be quite similar (i put more than enough spin on the ball) what i found was a ball that rockets off the woods and long irons, but feels much softer (still firm though) off mid irons- wedges, distance control was surprisingly AMAZING, i expected a much jumpier ball but it was solid and on target every time. trajectory off the woods and long irons was a medium, boring ball flight that flattened out quick and carried a long long way, even into the wind, mid- wedges produced a pleasent controllable ball flight that never ballooned, and i had no real problem hitting draws and fades or adding spin on wedge shots, green side pitches and bunker shots (though youll never suck this ball back on dry greens), finally the ball putted very very well, it didnt feel like a rock and rolled much better than expected. i plan on picking up the tl tour and comparing side by side, but so far i am very impressed with top-flites new strata tl ball, overall not quite as good all around as the pro vx, BUT close, and for half the price, i may switch permanently from the x.

Shockingly lacking distance. I compared this ball with the Precept PwrDrv, Callaway Hex Hot, and the new 2005 Titleist NXT. While these balls were similar in distance, the Strata TL-Distance came up whoefully short. Not even close. I would say by 15 to 20 yards! If there is anything good to say, the cover is a bit softer than most distance balls.
