I picked up the Srixon Z Star ball and fell in love with it. But, the price! So I asked my local golf retailer for advice of a multilayered ball that didn't cost quite so much. He suggested the Gamer. I've got to be honest folks, this ball scuffs up so fast, I was amazed. The distance and flight were not close to the Z Star. I went back to the Z Star and just tried to avoid losing them. Similar Products Used: Srixon Z Star, Pro V1 |

Other than the bite with the pro v, there is not that much diffence in the two balls. The v2 is just as long if not longer than the pro v. I would rather pay $20.00 than $45.00. |

GAMER V2
Following up from a review I left a kuppla pages down, I played for the first time with the V2 in Alpena all week. I played about six rounds with the same 2 balls and there is definitely an improvement in the durability. I'm hooked. Shot a 78 on Wednesday and a record 76 on Friday. Granted I was playing better than average, but this ball was doing whatever I wanted...consistently. Straight off the driver..(just as they claim). Bitin' the greens and it was like putting a marshmallow. Dollar for dollar this is the best ball on the market. If you haven't tried 'em, you're missing out. I try to keep these balls for my "good rounds". I play almost every day, and I play my "regular rounds" with Titleist NXT's, Pro V1's, Bridgestone B5's, Srixon's, etc, basically whatever I can get my hand on. But when I am playing in an outing or something. That's when I break out the TopFlite Gamer's. A close second is the Callaway HX Hot (orange). I guess since Callaway owns TopFlite now, that doesnt come as a surprise. These balls are long and playable, perfect....... and way less expensive as Pro V1's, etc. |

Just to say that I haven't played these yet but I picked them up at a Walmart out in the sticks (central Texas) for $1 a sleeve. They had 8 sleeves and I got them all. They are a great deal at that price. I have just picked up some Ping Zing2 (look brand new) let's see what the combination will do.

The ball feels great but with every iron in the bag the peel! I have to switch balls every 2-3 holes. Don't bother buying this ball unless you want to go through 2-3 sleeves per round. |

Top Flite Gamer V1 and V2
For years I played Titleist and Tour Edition balls exclusively and found that they were long and spin-able around the greens. But I think that I have found a new favorite. First, a 3 piece ball for $15 a box? Long off of the tee and amazingly not "Rock Flite" hard? Spin like a Pro V1? Excellent touch around the greens with the flat wedge? Top Flite??? Remember that Top Flite is owned by Callaway, so just like that Keystone Light cheapo beer is just Coors Light in a different can, this ball is a Callaway ball with a different cover. Thank the golf gods that someone is hearing our plea and has come up with such a great ball that gives us 3 for 1, over Pro V1, when we plunk down our shekels at Golfsmith. Personally, I like the original Gamer over the V2 because the cover is just a bit softer and seems to bite into the irons better. Yeah they get fuzzy, but a about a buck a ball, I can replace them. If you buy them, they will keep making them. |

Top Flite Gamer V1/V2
I played both the V1 and V2 today. golfballselector.com recommended it for my game. I have to say, I love them! The V1 does scuff really easily, the V2 had no issue with that, i think they corrected it. This ball is long, and workable, and spins like a champ. I sucked back a 58* from about 95 yds. 10ft. Never in my life did I think a Top Flite would do that. I am glad I listened to the golf ball selector site, despite a little skepticism about it saying to use a top flite. Good ball man, will be using this and the pinnacle dimension from now, until I become a PGA apprentice early next year, hope to get free one's then! Hit 'em straight. Great ball for the price. Gives great distance. Not much spin around the green though. But overall great ball for the price and will def. use again if short on cash. |

Gamer V2
I fell in love with the original Gamers and when I found out that they came out with an improved version and went out a bought a dozen. They are still under $20 but are now longer and softer. Top flite addressed the predecessor's biggest issue of cover durability. Before I would switch the ball out around every 4 holes as the cover would get a little hairy. Now I usually just change it at the turn.
