This is by far the best feeling ball I've ever used. I play it even though it only lasts about 2 holes (sometimes less) before you notice CONSIDERABLE cover damage.

There are too many disadvantages to this ball. For one thing it spins way to much for me, its not a problem to spin an 8 iron off the green. It goes 10 yards shorter on your driver and 5 on the irons. It scuffs up soooo bad. One wedge shot and the ball is crushed, and the spin off a wedge is terrible. I back it up at least 20ft with a lob wedge. I have to play the Tiger soft hands wedge and take less club, still spins back about 7ft.

This ball has the best feel and the best playability out of all of the Titleist balls produced. I for one don't like the Pro V-1's as much as the Tour Balata's. The only drawback to the ball is the cover durability. I swear I catch this ball clean everytime around the green and poof, like that it turns into a misfit. Ball cuts and you can peel the cover right off. Off the tee it turns into an egg if you hit it hard. Even if you don't, you might have to change every 6 holes or so. But man, this ball rocks! The best Balata ball I have ever played with. Extremely nice feel, good distance, unsurpassed spin on the greens, puts very nice with the exception of the cover durability. I still love this ball and will continue to use it (maybe only on the par 3's).

found alot of these balls in the timber. probably means they don't have very good control. i seem to hit them straight most of the time. i personally like the spin that this ball has on the green.

Just as there are irons that allow great control, there are balls that are better at being controlled. The Tour Balata is at the forefront. Do your high shot setup and the Tour Balata goes higher than other balls. Do a knock-down and this ball goes lower and rolls more than other balls. Setup for a fade or draw and this ball turns more than other balls. With this ability comes the need for even more precise setup and consistency. Titleist says the Tour Balata is not as long as their other models, but if so, it's by less than half a club because I can't feel it. Price is less than fancier hitech performance balls.

This is by far the best ball money can buy! If you want to play your best golf and can affort this ball I suggest you play it. There is very little differnce in distance, GREAT feel off the clubhead, supper sound going through the air. All Touring Pro's would play this ball if they were not paid lots of bucks to play others. If you play three rounds with this ball you will not go back to any other ball. Chip and putting makes up for the three yard you lose off the tee. This is golfs version of sex without a condom...ENJOY

Wow, these balls truly live up to their hype and box description. This is the best feel I've ever seen in a ball, without sacrificing alot of distance. Perhaps a half-club shorter than your ""distance balls"". But hey, that doesn't matter when you can create more spin to hold the greens and they don't slice or hook as much as other balls. I just wish these balls lasted more than six or seven holes. Definately NOT very durable. If you can handle the seperate bank account needed to re-supply your balls every 72 holes, they're the perfect fit. : )

There are two balata balls available that are far and above better then the rest. Titleist is one of them and Maxfli is the other. I use the Titleist...it's a better deal for the money around here. Really improves my short game and iron shots.

There is no doubt about it, the Tour Balata is an awesome ball. The feel is great, the distance is good for a balata ball, and it is by far really good for putting and chipping. I seriously recommend it if you can afford the price tag. Also, not very durable.
