This is the best ball for the money. The Pro V1 is to much $$$ with less distance. Buy two of these. They have very good distance, can hold on the greens, and they putt very true and straight. These are the best all around balls I've played. You can't go wrong with these!

Switched from the Titleist DT Distance, believing the hype that this was the poor man's Pro VI. To be honest, it has the exact characteristics as the DT except less spin. Dificult to back up even a well hit wedge. Conclusion: stick with the DT unless you can get the NXT for less.

Each of us has a favourite brand of golf balls, I have played the game for nearly twenty years now, have tried now and then other brands, but I always go back to Titleist, as far as Golf balls are concerned. I am now using either only the NXT Tour or the Pro V1 balls. The only differences I find (both balls are as long as far as I am concerned)was that the NXT Tour was more durable but was "checking" slightly less than the V1 on the greens, the difference being marginal but noticeable. As I am not shooting in the 70's but in the low 80's, I can live with that, am am not ready to pay 50% more for the PRO V1. The NXT Tour is good (very) enough for my game and has good value for the money spent.

This ia solid all-around performer! I have played everything available. Buy 2 dozen of these for the same price as one dozen "premium" balls. Forget the PGA Tour marketing hype. Work on your swing.

I hadn't played golf for three years before July 02, so the explosion in the golf ball market took me by surprise. I played Pro V1s and A10s and was astounded by how much better golf balls have gotten. But the course I joined has water and trees on every hold, so I went in search of a great ball in the $20 to $25 range. The Noodle has great distance and good feel off the irons, but it's a rock around the greens. The Slazenger black label (on big sale at TGW) has amazing feel, but really goes nowhere. The Precept Tour (not the LS, which I haven't played) is a very good ball. But sometimes it spins too much, sometimes it scuffs, and sometimes it seems a bit short. I've found my ball--the NXT Tour. Distance is second-to-none, and durability is excellent. Plus, this ball feels great to me. I prefer the thicker-feeling cover of a titleist to the thin-feeling Maxfli covers, so I love the NXT Tour. It won't back up off the irons, but on short irons it stops in its tracks, and even a 4 iron will only relase 5 to 10 feet (I spin the ball fairly well, in general). Around the green: it's not a Balata and it runs slightly, but it can be controled and feels nice overall--uch better than the Noodle, and to me as good as the Precept. If I get rich or start playing open courses, I'll try out the $40 balls. For now, I'll be playing the NXT Tour (and maybe trying that 2-piece Callaway Blue ball).

This ball has all the benefits of a premium ball except for spin on greenside chips and pitches. I prefer the lack of spin around the greens simply because you don't have to worry about the ball checking up prematurely. Feel is soft on all shots, distance seems to be better than pro V 1, no trouble holding greens, durability is exceptional.

Nice distance and green control. Did not like the Pro V1, lacked distance. The HP Tour got rugged immediately. The NXT Tour could be cheaper though.

Overall, on a scale of 1-10, I give this ball a 7. Satisfactory performance across the board...jack of all trades, master of none. Distance off the driver is comparable to most balls in this category...low spin off the driver, which is good...doesn't stop as well with shots into greens as say, the Precept TP...putts OK, a little hard...but cover durability is excellent. They are like cockroaches, you can't kill em. But overall, a very mediocre, middle of the road ball.

Awesome golf ball. I play S-400s on my irons and X-Stiff Penley on my driver. This ball is one iron club longer and 20 yards to 25 yards further off the tee. A stiff shaft and a soft ball are a great combination. These balls are only about low 70's in compression, in fact, they are so soft that you can't even monogram them with a standard monogram tool. The ball compresses like an egg before the lettering imprints. Long off the tee with less spin. They don't spin backward on the greens which is a great feature, but they check up well. Backspin is very tough to control.

I was excited about using this ball, as everything I had read sounded great. However, I was truly disappointed! They are too hard and have little feel. My preference has always been the Titlest Professional 90, but I would hit a top-flite 2000 over the NXT! I hate to be so negative but that's my opinion.
