I love this ball. I found one out on the course and decided to give it a try. I was absolutley amazed how straight the ball went. I ended up using it the remaining 5 holes. I got home and ordered a few dozen logo balls from eBay. The Solo is all I used last year, aside from the occasional find on the course.

DT SO-LO
I have used the DT SO-LO for the last 2 years. I dont have a fast swing and the ball seems to fit my speed perfectly. Plus I know when I hit it it will always react the same.....soft feel, soft landing and little roll, except when just off the green.... Customer Service Never Used IT Similar Products Used: Used to use 100 compression balls. But it was like hitting a rock. |

I like this ball. It is soft/long as advertised. It tends to a high trajectory (probably why it stays on the green). But on tee shots, it has real good fairway roll/bounce. Putts soft and true. Inexpensive. Predictable. Durable. I don't know what it would perform like if I had a pro's swing speed, but for me, it' s an all around good ball. Customer Service Never used it. Whilst these balls are certainly cheap, Titleist shouldnt really be proud of the ball they've produced here - sure its impossible to to cut them etc but thats because its as hard as tungsten! Ive hit stones with more feel to them. Absolutely no feel around the greens and the distance it is supposed to provide is no greater than the DT Distance ball. For 20 odd bucks a dozen there is a lot better value for money than this - not much chop at all |

They are affordable. They last a long time (I scuffed them once but I had to kill a tree to do it). I don't hook or slice them as much as some other golf balls. But I don't get as much distance from the tee, fairway, or rough with these things. And I'm not sure I like the ultra-low compression feel that these have. I prefer a slightly higher compression ball that feels less like an old rubbery ball when you make contact. I also noticed my approach shots would often roll off the green, even using 8 or 9 irons. But the price and durability of the Solo make it fairly good value. Customer Service Everyone tries to seel you the ProV1 balls, but most of us aren't good enough to enjoy them at that price. Ignore the sales clerks. Similar Products Used: Titleist ProV1 and NXT-Tour, Nike Power Distance Super Far, Pinnacle Exception (ugh!) |

Titleist DT SoLo
I just switched to the DT SoLo from Maxfli Noodle. The DT SoLo is the best ball in the $20 a dozen price range. It is very long off the tee and I have noticed reduced side spin off the drive. Approach shots with mid to short irons will stop within a few feet of your ball mark. This ball will spin on clean wedge shots. Putting with the DT SoLo is amazing. The softness and feel of the ball really help with speed. Also, this ball is very durable. It is difficult to scuff and if you cut this ball, you can send it back to Titleist and they will give you a free sleeve. I have not used the new model yet but I can just imagine how good they are. I love this ball I shoot my lowest rounds with these balls. I have nailed these as long as 310-320 yards and have always had good distance on these. The iron shots feel so good and are ALWAYS at or behind the ball mark by at least a foot. They do drop and stop regardless of what other morons say. I do hit my ball very high but I can land these on any green even with low 180 yard draws out of the rough. I feel as if I wasted alot of money trying out the newer ProV's as they were not any longer and do not feel as soft as these. I have a 110+mph swing speed for driver and I am just as long if not longer than the pro models. Similar Products Used: NEW Prov1-1X Callaway HX Hot Mojo Noodle |

DT SoLo - 2004 model
It seems that a lot of people want to believe that since the DT SoLo has the Titlest name on it, they're getting a ProV1 at less than half the price. This is not the case! The DT SoLo is not a bad ball, given the street price on them, but it is just another Surlyn covered, low compression core, 2 piece ball just like 20 other balls out there. If you scraped the logos off them I don't thnk that 99% of all golfers could tell the difference between any other soft core, Surlyn cover, 2 piece ball - DT SoLo, Noodle, Mojo, Loco, Big Bertha and dare I say it Top-Flite XL-3000 Super Feel. The DT SoLo is not a high spin ball like a ProV1 or other expensive urathene covered balls and it just doesn't give you the spin on partial wedge shots nor the drop and stop that those high priced balls are capable of.
