I think this is a great ball if you want "better than average" on every characteristic of a tour-level golf ball. The one thing that better players would not like is around the greens where some players like to be aggressive and spin the ball close to the hole. I don't rely on that, so this is a perfect ball for me.

Did I get a bad dozen?? I LOVE the Srixon AD333 at 19.95 a dozen. Thought I would step-up and give the 39.95/dozen Z-URS a try. The best way I could describe the experience was that it felt like hitting a rock. The 333's fly off the face of my clubs, the Z-URS made me check the face of my driver to make sure it wasn't dented. I realize that not all swing speeds are conducive to certain types of balls, but I have not felt this type of impact since I hit the cheapo Top Flite XL 2000!!! At least for those you only spent about 12 bucks for 15!! I have hit the top of the line Callaway, Titleist and Nike. Have realized that the 3 piece ball and their price are not necesary for my game level, but at least they felt good when hit. I didn't feel a shock wave up my arms. Seriously, the Z-URS truly felt rock-like, and I have nothing against Srixon. The AD333 is a superb ball for 20 bucks less. Supposedly, the 333 is the number one ball in Europe. I know they are in my bag. The Z-URS? The 2 sleeves I have left are going to be donated to our clubs next raffle!

Customer Service

I should actually send my remaining 2 sleeves back and test the customer service? Might do it and report back at a later date.

Very good ball. Distance, Durability, and Control. What else could anyone want from a golf ball? The Z-urs reacts well around the greens w/ moderate spin on full shots. I was able to back up alot of full wedges into about 9 greens w/ controllable spin. I would highly recommend this one. Another plus, the ball retails for about $5 less than the pro v1 and plays very closely.

Having played the Maxfli M3Tour LT for a few years, I decided to try something else (the M3 is getting quite scarce now!). I came across the Z-URS, and thought I'd give it a go.

Its a solid golf ball - although not the best I must add. Ball flight is penetrating on the drive, and mid to low irons are high, which result in drop and stop control. This is all great, and just what I was looking for. Durability is a question for me though. After only six holes, the ball was starting to look pretty tatty. The thin Urathene cover was possibly proving too thin? It was scuffed, with quite a bit of cover peeling away.

All in all a solid golf ball, good flight and offers good control around the greens, but don't expect one to last too long!

I played with Nike One Black ball, which goes farther than its Platinum counterpart but also feels harder. I don't hit that far so I need all the distance and control I can get. Sort of a mix between Black and Platinum.

Enters the Srixon. Gained 5-10 yards more than the Nike One Black off the tee. I ripped a 305yd tee shot today playing a 475-yard par 4. I normally sit 200 yards out after each tee shot on this hole. It's refreshing to be using a 7i instead of a hard 4i for my approach shot.

My iron shots are a club longer on average with this ball -- I used to hit 150 into the greens with a 7i using the Nike but now hitting with an 8i instead with this ball. Mid irons to wedge shots take a couple bounces and then stop. If I really go after it with my wedge shots, the ball will check up and spin back a little. The feel off the putter is noticeably softer and provides better feedback. The ball gets very few scratches after hard wedge shots but not as bad as the softer Pro V1 or Nike.

Overall I would recommend this ball to anyone looking for a replacement for their Pro V1 or Nike One. It's very durable and offers longer distance than those competitors yet does not sacrifice any feel.

This year I hat the Precept U-tri tour. Very good ball with a soft feel. I was looking if there is a ball where is a little longer. Tried a lot Bridgestone long and flat but like a stone on the green, HX-Tour 56 very good ball good feel and long but after three strokes with a wedge you must change the ball, Wilson 4-piece ball flight is too high, Nike Platinum is not bad but not the big hit and the V1 has too much spin on the green and is not so long as the Z-UR-S. He is very long, he last long I play now 5 rounds with one ball and he still looks ok, he is very true when he is on the green he stops immediatly. The feel is not so soft as the V1 but still soft engough. I am very happy I found my ball for 2006.

I recently tried out the ZUR-S and fell in love with it.I have tried the HX Tour Black & Pro V which are both fine golf balls, but the ZUR-S offered me 10-15 more yards off the tee and a more penetrating ball flight are not as soft as the Pro V, but have very good feel, and also stop on a dime. The cover seems to hold up well, and they are nice to putt with.Overall a great ball that run about $40.00 bucks per 12 most place's would highly recommend that you give these a try. My last 3 rounds were in the mid to high 70's playing this ball.Watch out Titleist, there's a new player's ball in town!!!
