Srixon Z-Star Balls

DESCRIPTION

Srixon Z Star XV Golf Balls The Srixon Z Star XV Golf Balls have a dual-core with 4-piece construction. This golf ball has higher compression and is designed for higher swing speed golfers and will reduce spin off the driver. This ball takes performance to the next level. The Z-Star performance can be broken down into two main features: Larger cores for improved ball speed and softer covers for maximum spin around the greens. The core of the golf ball can easily be thought of as the engine of th

Supposed to be be a "tour" ball ?
- Feeling with putter and wedges : rather soft but a little bit less than Titleist ProV1 and Taylormade Penta
- spin on approaches : much less than ProV1 and Penta
- spin on full shot with irons : very good
- distance : shorter than any other tour ball (by 5 to 10 meters !) from Titleist, Callaway or Taylormade
The only advantage is price. But with such results, other balls such as Titleist NXT Tour, etc... are cheaper and almost equivalent.

As I am still a good golfer at 74(h/c 5) I have been experimenting with virtually ALL the supposed "Top" balls to find one which will gain me lost length but is easy to control, has great feel off the driver and putter and stops well on the green.

As there are now many top amateurs and pros using this ball I stopped using my Totleist Pro V1s and Callaway iX Tours for the Z Star. After three rounds with the same ball! I have come to the conclusion that it does everything I hoped it would MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OTHER BALL I HAVE EVER USED!!

Customer Service

What would one need customer service for? It seems that Srixon quality is as good if not better than any major golf company in the world!

I love this ball. I have always disliked a ball that has a hard feel and these are nice and soft without being too soft. The distance is as good as any, the chipping is great and the single best thing about this ball is how well it putts. At first I thought I must just be having a good day with the putter, but after several rounds I have to start giving the ball some of the credit. I can't tell you why but I putt better with this ball. I do know they have a unique method for putting the cover on the ball. Maybe it helps it roll a bit more true. Bottom line is less expensive than a Pro V and a better ball too.

Must write you a review about this ball: shot my first hole in one with it! Par 3 of 165 meters. I know there's a bit of fortune involved, but this bal does what it should do when you hit it right: nice mid high trajectory, a firm bounce on the green and it wil hop-and-stop.
It hits long and straight. Short game is very responsive. A very good value for money.

I bought a dozen of these balls because i like to try something different other than just the normal old pro v1 one golf balls. i played in a four man scramble after a two inch rain and yes i know the balls will sit better on wet greens but the dont spin back 6 to 7 feet each time with a short iron this ball is long off the tee and is the best feeling ball off the face of my irons i have ever hit. the only thing the pro v1 has it beat in is the feel off the putter the srixon is a little firm off the putter and i did not even scuff the ball at all. 40 dollar a dozen for a premium ball is not bad if you can play it multiple times

This is probably the best ball on the market today.

Durability:
This ball is twice as durable as the Pro V and doesn't scuff with one good wedge shot (my experience).

Look:
The ball looks great like many brand new balls, however it is a more vibrant white color than the Pro V's which I found had a tint of yellow.

Feel:
The feel is unmatched! Not even the 50$+ Titilest balls can compare. Soft feel but not too soft for no control. Off any club in your bag including your putter you feel as though if you were to not see where the ball went you would know because the ball told you off the clubface.

Distance:
This is what surprised me about the Z-Star, the distance was the same if not better then the Pro V which confused me considering the soft feel. My drive with the Pro V averaged 293yrds and with the Z-Star 297yrds.

Spin:
This ball has a technology called shot stopping technology or something like that, well it works! with the Pro V i would spin around and dance on the greens but with the Z-Star it lands and doesn't move! where you land it is where it will stay!

Chipping:
Easily checks up or releases on demand, no problem there.

Putting:
Great soft fell with nice sound. Best ball I ever putted with!

Overall:
This is a great ball definitely out preformed the Pro V with a little cheaper price tag.

Cons:
Might be too pricey for the average golfer too be worth it. But if you are a feel player DEFINITELY WORTH IT!

I SWITCHED, SRIXON PLAY A BETTER BALL!

Great ball I just switched over from a Pro V1 just to try something different and becase I play Cleveland Clubs so I figure I would give the ball a try.. All I can say is I think I found my ball it has made my shots straighter and go alot further I am ur average golfer and you would think any ball would do but really after using this ball I got alot of ball spin and I had a shot out of a left side bunker 150yds to the pin I shot the ball right at the pin it hit about 10 feet over and then spun back like it was being chased left me with a nice birdie 2 foot putt.. I will keep this ball for a while oh yeah and it comes in cool yellow..... enjoy

I'm a golf ball tinker, I like to experiment. The last 2 years I've played exclusively with the Tour i, ix ZURS and ZURC's. I really like the Srixon product. To me this is the perfect golf ball. The problem with the ZURc and the ZURs was durability. It seem Srixon got that straightened out. Driver nice sounds perfect trajectory I hit some of my longest drives (268 yrds ok I'm not a bomber LOL) also some of my straightest. But where this ball performs is going for the pin. On more then one occasion This ball would one hop and stop. Putting is perfect feel. When I broke 100 it was with the ZURc, when I broke 90 it was with the Z STAR. In my opinion the perfect golf ball has been made. Now lets hope Srixon doesn't mess it up!!!
