I had been floating around from ball to ball. I was using a Dunlop Loco Pro and had great success with that ball but it is becoming harder to find. So based on a whim I decided to give the Srixon Urx & Hrx a whirl! Both were great balls and I have had much success with them! I settled on the URX becuase of the softer feel. These are very good balls and match up well against alot of the overpriced crap! I have used the Pro V & in all honesty I do not find any difference between the ProV and other 3 piece balls! Titleist has such an outrageous price on their ProV's to pay for all the marketing & Tour Pro's whom they pay to use the ball. Don't be a sucker and give this ball a whirl! Srixon is in my opinion one of the better 3 piece ball makers at an affordable price. Customer Service Never had to use it............ Similar Products Used: All types of balls and have come into the Srixon fold! Dunlop Loco Pro also a very good 3 piece but hard to find! |

A good ball with great distance off the tee and good feel around the greens. Only dissapointment was that it cut-up fairly quickly and is not as durable as the PRO V1 |

Srixon UR-X
The UR-X has a lot of the fine play and feel characteristics of the Hi-Brid Tour but it is little firmer and flies off the club with a solid 'click'. If you could imagine a combination of the ProV1X and the Hi-Brid Tour, you would come close to describing this ball. It drives on a mid to high trajectory with low spin (long) and is soft on iron shots and yet hold the greens quite well. It putts as well as any ball I've every used. I rated the value high as the performance to cost ratio is quite favorable when compared to other top tier multilayer balls. It is, however, not a perfect ball. I found that the cover was not particularly durable, with some 'shredding' evident after a good wedge or short iron shot. It will be tough to get more than one round out of a ball (by the 18th hole mine looked battered)--but then, does any half serious golfer use a less than perfect ball to start a new round?
