slaz tour platinum
ok, this is a $30-$40 box of balls. so it has to be rightly judged next to the pro-v's, a-10's, wilson trues, callaway hx's, stratas professional and ace's. It doesnt come close to any of those balls. it doesnt even have the long/soft combination of the cheap topflite tour, which is almost half the price and a good ball, but not great. ok, first lets talk length. the slaz tp is very average, i mean ive hit balata balls as far as this ball flies. my swing spped is about 95 (maybe a little more than average), i hit a low-med trajectory off my 9.5 driver. i usually play pro vs or a-10s, and they outfly the slaz tp by 10 yds easy. sorry, just being honest. so, you think with that info that it must be a dream ball from 100 yds and in. well, not really. its crisp like a max noodle or a dunlap loco, you know, those low comp balls. the slaz jumps off the face on chips and pitches from 5-20 yds off the green and rolls like crazy. i dont know if this is a low comp ball or not, but it acts like one around the green. those low comp balls are ok, i guess, for distance for low to med swing speeds. but theres one problem, the slaz tp doesnt have the distance of the noodle or the loco (the only two low comp balls ive played. I wanted to like this ball, because it looks so good. but i didnt like it. ultimately it'd be ok as a walmart or kmart product priced similarly to top-flites or dunlaps. sorry, i love golf too much not to be honest. Its not a horrible ball, just overpriced by about $15 or so. Customer Service n/a |
