an excellent ball long off tee with amazing control to green. Only one problem I cannot get them anymore.so now play the Bridgestone B330 tour

I am a fairly new golfer but I'm hooked. I've tried many things to lower my score, this ball has helped lower my score consistently. I now find 8-10 fairways a round, for me that's great. Feels great off the club. Nice spin around the green.

I have a son in golf school . . . needless to say with all of the golf both of us play we buy lots of balls. The most popular have been V1X for him; V1 or NXT Tours. A friend turned me on to a sleeve of these . . . GREAT ball. Appleby, Nick Price, Watson all played it. VERY close to the V1 . . . good spin, green side control, wears well, consistent yardage and flight. Very close to the V1 - except on price. Right now they are on closeout at Wal-Mart for $19/doz. I've bought everyone i can get my hands on! Dynamite ball . . . best performance to price ratio I've ever seen!

I got these balls based on the reviews and the price. I have played a couple rounds with both the HX Tour 56 and the U-tri Tour, interchanging balls. I honestly couldn't tell the difference. My best shot of the day was a six iron on a 191 yard par 3 that landed just right of the hole and spinned back a couple feet. On another hole i hit a bad tee shot, and was left with about 170 yards, in the trees. I punched a 4 iron that started drawing midflight towards the green. It has controllable spin off the long irons and woods. I have a lot of confidence with this ball. Callaway can keep their overpriced crap.

I was hitting my Pro-V's as usual, when I was practicing. And at my home course there is a long dog leg left par 5 that has a huge lake on the left that wraps all the way to the green from about 210 yds from the plates, so its a real risk for the green in two, now i never play it as a chance in comp - but in practice and in match play if its needed I'll sometimes have a crack, so anyways, i tee up with the pro v1x and hit it 260 ish, left side, good spot for a shot at the smallish green with two deep bunkers right and left front, i shoot, a little fat, water!! Reload grab a ball out of my bag, just throw it on the ground, fire away again, ball flies like im on the tour, nice flight up over the left bunker softly spins a little back towards the pin.. 7-8 ft away, magic shot - even for someone who can shoot the odd under par round , I'm very very happy with that shot. I get to the green and the ball is a precept u-tri tour, i had left it in there from saturday when i found it OB on the 3rd. I played it again on the 9th after i binned the put. (putt's well too.) Had a solid par with a lip out. Went straight into the pro shop and asked about how much they were. Had to double check the price! What a bargain. Pro says to me that they should be more popular - No Kidding!!! I bought a box to test out my theory, guess what I play with now. thats right U-TRI TOURS. Do yourself a favour, save some cash, enjoy it when it sails OB, instead of wincing when your PRO V does..

PRO-V1X until now

Being a die hard Titleist man I was skeptical. This ball is as everyone else described. I am a converted ProV1 user. I was hitting the ProV very well, but I was just spinning it too much. A friend of mine suggested this Precept and I thought for 24 bucks at Wal Mart it was worth a shot. These balls in my opinion react just like the ProV only with less spin, which is what I was looking for. They still hold, and spin for me the right amount. Chipping and putting with these is a coin flip between the two balls! They could charge 40 a dozen and I'd still buy them!!!

This is relatively durable ball with a nice, tacky Urethane cover. It checks up very well (I don't own a launch monitor so I'll defer to statistics I've seen on the 'net that say it is indeed a high-spin ball). It also feels very soft off the putter face. LostGolfBalls no longer has any of these in stock (a crying shame), otherwise I'd keep buying 6 or 7 dozen at a time like I used to. I suppose its replacement is the Bridgestone B330S, which is too pricey for my taste at the moment. I guess I'll need to wait a few years for that one to drop in price. My value rating is based on LostGolfBalls' $3.95 price for the AAA quality. What a deal!

It has a bit more spin than U-tri distance or even the extra spin. So best value for money if you can find them.

Well, I finally got a chance to try this ball out. I read great things about it here so I couldn't wait. Overall, it's a really nice ball. It really compresses well off the driver and fly's nice and straight. When driving and with a 6 iron, it flew high and long and was a joy to watch. It held up very well against scuffing, much better than the Callaway Hot Bite. I would say it's as long or longer than most 3 piece balls I've hit, close to the Pro V1 and Bridgestone B330. It does not compare well though on sticking to the greens. It must not be a high spin ball. It's cover is very comfortable to hit and putt. It's fairly soft and not hard. I really hated losing some of these in the water and woods as they are hard to find now. Sometimes you'll see them at Target or Walmart, even Golf Galaxy. A great ball for the money. If you see them for under $25, I would recommend them. If this ball would only stick to the greens a little better, it would be hard to beat. I like it's brother the B330 a lot, but he's about $13 more a dozen. This ball is a nice bang for the buck and a joy to golf a round with.
