I have played ProV 1 X until a fellow player friend of mine told me the Precept is the best ball on the market. Well low and behold I started playing this ball and added distance of the Tee and have since made nice shots into the green. I also like the feel of the ball and it putts very well even though the puttie needs to make a good stroke. Just a little more to the review; today I played in an alternate shot event where the players alternate hitting the ball you teed off with. My partner played ProV 1 and after hitting my Precept said by the end of the round, (which we won)that he is swithcing over to the PrecptX. Thats how much he liked the ball. Awesome ball with an awesome price ($20 for two dozen at Walmart) WOW! |

This is a great ball for the price.($20 for 2 dozen)Great off the tee and has enough spin on the greens to hold good shots. You cannot go wrong with a precept ball.Have played all of the high priced balls...Callaway,Taylormade,and Titleist(I must say that Titleist should be ashamed of themselves for charging so much for their product when you can find balls just as good for almost half the price)All of my golfing buddies would beg to differ but that's how I see it. This was my old standby and I still wouldn't have a problem playing it. At $20 for 2 dozen this is one of the best values in golf balls. These balls get good distance, and they spin well for a two-piece surlyn offering. They aren't too rockish off the clubface either, and they are pretty durable. Scuffs seem mostly superficial, and tend not to affect putting too much. I've played entire rounds with the same ball, sometimes two rounds+ with one ball. They putt well for a two-piece and are decent around the greens, although they roll a little more than some balls.

I'm an occasional golfer that plays inconsistently. I was looking for a ball that drives very long but was still reasonably soft around the greens.
Similar Products Used: Maxfli Noodle (another great ball but harder around the greens), Titleist NXT (a fantastic ball but expensive). |

This is a good ball for its price range, but it is not a good ball for my game. The Laddie is ideal for slower swing speeds. I hit crisp fairway wood shots and iron shots and had this ball come up one to two clubs short compared to the Nikes, Brdigestones and Maxflis I have been using. It does feel good on contact, and I did like chipping and putting with it the Laddie. I think it is a good ball for putting, if not one of the better putting balls around. It checks relatively well with my wedges. It is quite durable though and you do get your money's worth at $20 for 2 dozen. I appreciate the three piece balls more now since my swing is much quicker and stronger due to a better exercise regimine. My father has a slower swing speed and the ball did a lot more for his ball striking, and now swears by the ball. I recommend this to golfers with slower swing speeds or are looking for a clean contact/straight ball. At its value, its worth trying out, just keep in mind once your swing improves, you need to upgrade the ball as well. Great golf ball! This ball performs well in all facets of the game. It’s long off the tee, has a crisp solid feel with the irons and is soft with the putter and wedges. The durability of this ball is also excellent. It is hard to cut or scratch yet still has a soft feel.

I love these golf balls. Although they are softer than TopFlite and other budget golf balls, I can still hit them 300 yds and they have a great feel around the greens. I get enough spin with my irons and wedges to get them to sit and even back up on most greens. They have a great feel around the greens and put very, very true. Having tried many different types of golf balls, these are by far the best overall performance balls for the price. Customer Service Not Needed Similar Products Used: TopFlite D2

I've played Top Flite Xouts, ProV 1's and everything in between. For me, this is the holy grail of balls. 2 dozen for twenty bucks for a downright consistent ball. That's all I really want in a ball, consistency. It is consistently long, consistently putts true and is low spin.

After reading the reviews here I decided to go to Walmart a pick up a couple dozen. I had been playing the Wilson Smartcore balls but they were becoming hard to find. So I had to look for a replacement.

Wanted a ball long and soft, without paying $40/dozen. The Top Flites are long, but hard as rocks. Everything else is just too pricey.
