This ball is sweet! The RPM's on a driver are the LOWEST out there! Result - straight. The spin is the highest you can get in a 2-piece. Result - stops. In case you are stupid, Pinnacle is a subsidy of Titleist. The balls come off the same line as the NXT's. The cover and materials are the same. The dimple pattern is the same, not similar - it comes out of the same mold. The price is waaaay cooler, and believe it or not the spin on short irons is DOUBLE the NXT tour. Check Equip2golf.com if you think you know more than me - which you don't ! This ball is great but has two faults. No feel chipping greenside. I mean NONE!. Not the great distance ball I expected. It seems to fall off faster than other balls in this segment... Similar Products Used: Mojo, NXT, Rev. EXT, Dunlop Moebius (I switched to this ball recently and its out performs everything except the One Black, and the HX Tour Black. 20$ a box...sweet! |

It seems that much of the industry has been geared to producing moderately-priced balls that have the qualities of tour balls, i.e., a soft feel without sacrificing distance. As a soft-feel ball, the Pinnacle Exception cetainly is soft. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to have the distance I'd expect, especially when there are other balls out there that have the buttery feel as well as distance (the Maxfli A10 and Top-Flite's XL-3000 Super Feel). I just couldn't get the feel of this ball. The Exception goes straight, so no problem there, but you have to hit the ball twice as hard as other balls to get it within your target zone. I'll try this for a couple more rounds, and if I don't get the feel, I'll use them only occasionally on very small "executive par 3" and "pitch and putt" courses. The club pro recommended the Exception as a great value winter ball. They're made by Acushnet whom also manufacture Titleist. Was told that the ball was equivalent to the NXT tour. (Cannot disagree) Played a round today and was pleasantly surprised good distance and control. Feels soft around the greens and putts well. Struck well off the driver. Kept up with my playing partner off the tee. He's 6ft 3" with one of those long annoying swings.(Was using a ProV1x). Ball flies well into the wind, wind today was gusting to 30+mph. Verdict good value ball, will use again in winter but will stick to ProV1/x when the course firms up again. Strongly recommend you try some. Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: N/A |

As a beginner I have limited experience in the sport, but over the weekend I played my best round to date using the Pinnacle Exception! Slightly out performed the DT Solo I had been using, but that could be me! I liked the way the Exception "stuck" when it hit the green and it putted very well. Off the T I got good distance for a 55 year old. I think this is a real good choice for beginning golfers. I controled this ball far better than the Titleist DT Distance, Pro V1, and the Top Flite XLs. I still like the DT Solo, but the Exception may be just that...an exception. Weather: cool and windy. 48*F. Customer Service Untried. Similar Products Used: Titleist Solo, DT Distance, Pro V1, 2-Piece, Top Flite XLs |

Played this ball over the weekend and played my best round this summer. I am a weekend golfer that may get to play two weekends a month due to family and work. This ball is long off of the tee, sticks on the green with my irons, and chips and putts nice. I would call it a cross between a ProV1 and ProV1x. Little bit firmer than a V1, but not as firm as the X. For the price, this ball can't be beat. This ball is very affordable and is my new ball of choice. I was playing the Maxfli M3, but this ball performs better in my opinion. I have found a new ball. Nice going Pinnacle... |

Simply the best $20 per doxen ball on the market. Better than many expensive balls as well. Very good distance, soft feel, moderate spin, what more can you ask for in a realtively cheap ball? Pro V1's and Precept U-Tri Tours are still my favorites but the Pinnacle Exception is the best value you can find in a golf ball anywhere. Great Ball, Flies great on hot days, average on cold days. Soft feel for putting. Dont mark up easily. Not bad stopping power on greens. Same as Pro v1 but more durable. almost as good as Callaway HX tour. Inexpensive ball. I love it! Gret ballfor a weekend golfer. I but Pro v1's reused for 12 a dozen at the base exchange and these play close to those. Good feel of the clubs, good looking ball, not a whole lot of spin of the wedges though, but enough to hold, i cant hit tye stoping flop, but that could just be me shotting 90's, i guess im just not that good. However, they are a good value for the money, and thats important to me. Customer Service Wal-Mart is aswome, for everything Similar Products Used: Pro V1, V1x, Nike One, TA2, Top Flight Strata |

I tried a sleeve of these after putting with them in a golf shop and being impressed with the soft feel off the putter. Indeed, they are great feeling balls to putt with, nearly as soft a feel as a balata ball. Not too impressed with full shots though. I found it felt good off the driver and irons, but off the driver the ball seemed to tumble quickly to the ground as if it didn't have enough spin or lift. Too much spin is bad, but too little is also bad! And, off the short irons it would come in hot and roll way too far after landing. Overall, not an easy ball to control with the approach shots. Too bad, because it's really a pretty good looking ball with little arrow pointers that can be used for alignment when putting. But, not a ball I'd play again. I had tried Pinnacle balls before but didn't like them because they were too hard and didn't give me the feel and spin I enjoy. The pro shop had a sale (2 for $2) and the box said they were soft so I bought a couple to try out. I was extremely surprised at the soft feel of the ball with all my clubs(driver through putter) - it felt very similar to the Titliest ProV1x and Titliest NXT balls I'd played with before. In addition, my drives were longer and straighter than I'd hit them in years. I went back in after the round and bought the rest of "promo" packages then went to a local golf shop and picked up a dozen for $18.00. I've tried out most of the new balls on the market (Strata, Nike, Titliest, Precept) and this ball is as good as any of them and cheaper than most of them. |
