I started playing the PD Soft as an alternative to $45 a dozen ProVs and love it. I have gotten no less than a dozen of my Country Club buddies using them, all were ProV guys. I talked another buddy (he plays high end Bridgestone's) into stopping and getting a dozen on his way to play today and he called mid-round to tell me he's "hitting them 280 down the center, can't even feel them coming of the clubface" Like I told him... butter. Great ball. Great price. Great value.

Tried this on the recommendation of a Golf Galaxy employee. He said that it had received high marks against ball 3 times its price. I'll have to say it feels good off the tee and compared to the D2 Feel Top Flights its a better ball around the greens. For 16 bucks a dozen you cant go wrong for outstanding distance and above average feel around the greens.

I bought a dozen because of the hype from Consumer Reports. It seems alot of people are raving about this ball so I wanted to check it out for myself. I normally play a 3 piece spin ball so some adjustment was required.
I played 4 rounds with the Super Soft and have to admit its a decent ball. Not, mind blowing forget about the ProV1 but a solid performer. It has a soft feel off woods and irons. Putts are solid yet not harsh and it rolls very well. Not too much spin on scoring irons and checking up on chips, well, its a 2 piece with a firmer cover so performance was average. In colder weather it plays really well with minimal distance loss.
I have to say it is a good all around performer but it's not a ball I'll be switching to. Consumer Reports is a great source for product reviews but when it comes to golf equipment reviews, I'll stick to this website and the thousands of other golf crazed addicts like myself for advice.

I picked up a stray today and played it as my second ball. It's November and mid 50's outside. Hit 2 solid drives on the last (9th). Supersoft beat Prov1 by 10 yards. I think I hit the second one better, too, but I really liked this ball. Too soon to tell, but I'll find a dozen or 2 for next season & we'll see if I can up the rating.

Customer Service

Nike left me a perfectly good ball right next to the green.

Play the PROV1 if it's serious, but it kills me to lose a $4 ball. NXT Tour is my everyday ball, and they were available at a very good $20 for a good part of the season. First, short, impression is that the Nike PDSS at least feels nicer and might be longer.

Just cannot put my finger on it....this ball is like what some of the Nike advertisements say, it's "buttery soft". It's like hitting the "sta-puff marshmallow man", but this fat boy can "fly". Good feel around the green, nice off the putter..it's just an all around good ball (weird).

Based on the performance in which I have gotten out of it..I cannot believe that it is so cheap! Honestly, I would pay double..triple (that's pushing it) the price to play this ball....but I am glad that it is so inexpensive.

Nice ball...give it a try.

I found these balls at a local store for about $16. I was suspect that these balls could compare to my usual ball (ProV1x), but due to the price and reviews, I decided to give them a try.

Distance: These balls are just as long as the ProV1x. No disappointment.

Accuracy: Assuming any ball can help with accuracy, these balls are again equal to the ProV1x.

Greens: This is where the differnce lies. The ProV1x stops on a dime or backs up. The Nike either stopped on a quarter or rolled only 6-12 inches on approach. Chipping the ProV1x is excellent, but the Nike does not have the stopping prowness.

Putting: These ball are equal.

For the money, try the Nike. Be your own judge. I'm not saying I'll abandon the ProV1x, but for the money, the Nike isn't bad

Tried them at the recommendation of consumer reports. They were right. Great performance ball for the money. (They were rated right up there with the three most expensive balls available.) Long off the driver and straight! Nice check into the greens and unbelievable putter feel. Not that hard click but a nice bounce off the putter face. Love 'em.

People who post on here about being over the green on a 345-yard par 4 crack me up. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure you are. What nonsense.

Anyway, this is an absolutely fabulous ball. It has to be the softest-feeling, most consistent 2-piece ball made. Granted, you can't bend it as much on command, but what do you expect?

What you get is a consistent ball-flight. The ball comes off the club where you expect it to. You can hit it high and soft, knock it down, draw it, fade it (granted, as I said, not as much as a tour-caliber ball), and as also already mentioned, they last FOREVER. Unless you cart-path it or smack it into a tree, you will lose this ball before it scuffs, guaranteed.

It's very soft-feeling off the driver and can be hit far. A lot of "distance balls" a) feel like rocks off the driver, and b) go like a rocket for 230 yards and then look like a bird that got shot out of the sky, plummeting helplessly to earth.

Not these babies - they go as far as you hit 'em (just ask Mr. 345-over-the-green-par-4, hahahaha!). I hit one 275 today and 280 yesterday (ballpark).

They do spin a bit around the green. I can get chips to check up, though I find spin to be waaaaaaaaaaay overrated in general. People who can't hold greens with these couldn't hold them with a HX Tour 56 or a ProV1, either, though I'm sure they'd tell you they can (hit DOWN on the ball with your irons, people!!!!).

Also very soft off the putterface, which I think is a very underrated quality in a golf ball.

And these things cost FIFTEEN BUCKS!!!!

Anybody who regularly shoots 90 above (and you liars who say you shoot in the 80's) are WASTING YOUR MONEY if you're playing another ball. I'd play these over anything but a tour caliber ball, period. If it's under $35, you name it, it doesn't compare. It's that simple.

I have spent much time using three piece balls which definately stop faster than this Nike ball. On very fast greens I don't think this ball would work for me but at my club the greens are fast but I can hold the greens. What amazes me about this ball is how it doesn't wear out. I was using Hogan Tour Deeps and they looked new for one round on average. These balls never wear out. That is a nice effect, especially in the winter when my game is a bit spotty.

I started using this ball last year after i read about it in the consumer magazine at the dentists office. I have tried a lot of balls to see which goes the farthest and this is probably the the most consistant for great distance so far.

As an example at a course I play this one par 4 hole is 345 yard. I usually ran the ball about 15 yards short of the green, but now since I have started playing with this ball I am either on or around the green and a few times over the green.

I don't swing hard, I average about 110 mph. This ball is also fairly straight for me as well.

I shoot in the 80's becuase I son't get to play more than 25 games a year and my short game could use some improvement, mainly putting.

All I can say is I have tried the expensive balls and really don't notice much diffrence.

As for spin control, I find on shots over 50 yards I have no problem stopping the ball within a foot of where I land it, just wish I could land it a little closer to the hole.
