Model Reviewed: Revolution 'Solid'

I was a professional player for years and wouldn't think about playing another ball until the Pro V1 came out earlier this year. The Pro V1 was the first 2 piece ball that I have played. I loved the distance and was surprised by the spin. I now prefer a 2 piece ball. I went to Myrtle Beach and couldn't find the Pro V1 so chose the new Revolution Solid. I really like this ball, and it is completely different from the regular Revolution. It is very solid off the tee and quite long (not super long). But, could spin this ball much more than the Titleist Pro V1. I suggest you try this ball, and it's much cheaper than the Pro V1.

Playing the Precept Tour Premium almost ruined my game. I lost so much distance with it, I tried to crush the ball every time to compensate, and that didn't work out so good. Plus, it scuffed if you looked at it wrong.

The Revolution has fixed all that. It feels great, nice and soft, off of all clubs and the distance is what I get from other balls. It's not incredibly long, but it's not a club shorter either. Plus, I've played the same ball for 36 holes now, and it still looks brand new. Although there is some classic balata-type yellowing.

I just wish this ball would spin more on half wedges, pitches and chips. I think it runs too much after landing, and never seems to bite.

I was at the golf shop fresh off a round with the titleist pro 90(short,crappy rocks, but that's another review)and i wanted to get some distance back with the Maxfli Rev. solids. A maxfli rep saw this and gave me some rev.90 and elite samples and told me to try those. Today i did, WOW! These balls feel great! The first hole at the course i play is 340 yards from a hill, i almost hit the green on the fly,and i overshot the green by 10 yards!I'm not going to tell you that the ball increased my drive because it did'nt, i have a swing speed of 117-120mph and that is my regular distance. The great thing about this is the fact that i did it with a soft premium ball! I did'nt lose one yard off my driver, but, i did lose about a clubs worth on iron play. With drives that far distance loss on irons is no big deal, and with the play on the greens being so good i'm going to be a par player by october. If the maxfli rev.solids are longer off the tee then these are, i'm going to be swinging 5 irons for my second shot on looong par 5s.

Customer Service

I have only talked to the rep, if customer service is as good as he is then they should be great.

After playing the nike TA for a while I found theese balls were very undurable...I was going through almost a sleeve a round....So I started playing the pro v1 for about 3 months now and I love it..But I have always had an interest in the Maxfli Revolution..Well the Maxfli can take this ball on any day....I get a little more flight off the driver...but it has a lil more spin then the prov1..I still end up about 5 yards futrher when its all said and done though. The iron play and wedge play is superb...The Revolutin is the most durable soft ball I have ever played...and its up there with the distance balls for durability as well...overall this ball is great and isnt really expensive and a dozen should last you a good 20-25 rounds...with exception of losing them!

The Maxfli Revolution 90 is the best ball I've ever hit. It combines distance, control, and feel all in one. I wouldn't hit any other ball besides the Revolution. The ball has the best backspin off of my irons and the longest than any other ball that I have ever hit. I wouldn't hit any other ball besides the Revolution.

THIS IS REALY THE BEST BALL OUT THERE. EVEN THOUGH I AM NOT REALY GOOD I HAVE TRIED MANY BALLS AND THE REVOLUTION IS VERY LONG AND STRAIGHT OFF THE TEE.WITH THE IRONS ITS EVEN BETTER. FANTASTIC STOPPING ABILTY. FOR A SOFT BALL THIS BALL IS ALSO VERY DURABLE. I HAVENT TRIED THE TITLEIST PRO V1 YET, BUT ILL TAKE A MIRACLE BALL TO OULL ME AWAY FROM THE REVOLUTION. THE CALLAWAY BLUE IS ALSO AN EXCEPTIONAL BALL. IF U NEED BALLS CONTACT ME. I ALWAYS HAVE SOME ON EBAY. THANKS

These balls are absolutely the best ball I have ever played. They are an excellent all round ball, giving great distance off the tee and superb feel around the greens. The balls spins quite a lot and is a perfect golf ball for the better player. Highly recommend this product.

Model Reviewed: Revolution Solids

With all the hype going on with the V1's and the Nike TA's you would think that the new Revolution Solids would have the same impact if not greater because the original Revolutions (3-piece) are such great balls. Not to be. The new Solids are slightly longer but you lose a lot of feel and spin around the greens which may not be as important to some players if you just want distance. Don't expect the new Solids to check up and stay, instead expect anything in the middle of the green may scoot off the back. The Solids sounded funny coming off the club, they made this click noise, like what you hear at the driving range. The V1's are too expensive, and the Nike TA's spin too much but the Revolution 90's are just right.
