Golf Galaxy had a special on two dozen of these for around $19.95 this summer so I bought the two boxes and played two rounds with a couple of them. I am in my seventh decade playing the game so I don't have an excess of clubhead speed nor do I rely on spin for my short game. These balls feel relatively soft and good off my forged cavity back Mizunos and off my Titleist 909 D Comp driver. Iron distances were comparable to the Srixon Tri Speed Tours I had been playing since the beginning of the season with about the same run-out on approaches that managed to hit the greens. Off driver, I noticed a quirkly little hard fade after apex that would seem to almost drop out of the sky and cost me 1-15 yards on well-struck drives. After two weeks with these in my bag, I bought a dozen of the new Titleist DT SoLo's and the Maxfli Revolution Low Compression balls remaining have been relegated to my shag bag. You mostly end up getting what you pay for.

I'm old with a slow swing speed and have been playing yellow Srixon Trispeed Tours this season and like them but wanted to get back to a white ball. Noticed these for sale for $20 for two boxes and picked them up. Practiced a bit with several and played one round in very wet and humid conditions. Distance off driver was just a bit shorter than the Trispeed Tours but I could actually put a small fade on several drives that I didn't get with most other balls. Feel off irons was like hitting feathers. Almost nothing. Distance was a bit less but that could have been the atmosphere. The actually ran out less on full iron shots, pitches and chips which surprised me. Felt pretty good off the putter but the greens had recently been aerated so it wasn't a real good test for roll. So nothing special but no negative surprises either. Played one ball the entire round which is unusual for me and the thing looked as new as it did when I took it out of the box. And it has 392 dimples just like the original Pro V1.
