Strength:

With my experience, none.

Weakness:

In a matter of 6 holes of play, 4 separate balls cracked on me. Dunlop customer service was zero help. I will not purchase Dunlop anything from here on out.

The covers are splitting. Can't even get 18 holes of golf out of a ball ! At 70 yrs old I don't hit the ball that far or hard. Will never buy Dunlop balls again !

I swear by Titleist and all my kit is Titleist. I have been using a Titleist golf ball for the past 4 years Balata, Pro V1, PRO V1X. Today I pulled out of the bag a Dunlop 65 that I got free with a golfing magazine. I was not playing very well and was playing a difficult golf course, so decided that I did not want to risk my spanking new PRO V1X. Anyway my game improved on the back nine and I managed to shoot level par gross, now I am not saying this was down to the ball but I can honestly say that I did not notice the difference from the PROV1X. Same distance off the tee as I would expect, great feel around the green and the feel off the putter was great! The only thing I would say is the conditions were wet and I would have to test this ball in the dry for spin reaction and control. Give them a go you will be surprised and will even save your self some money. I will be using these balls through the winter months! WELL DONE Dunlop….

My son gave me a Dunlop 65 (for obvious reasons) and I liked it so much I bought 2 12 ball boxes on sale for $20 Canadian each at Golftown. It has a great all-round feel from tee to green. I always wanted a ball with my name on it - now I've found it!

When I was given these balls by a friend, I just laughed and put them in the bag to take home and put in the practice bag. I normally use proV 1 or Maxfli A10. That week I saw an advert from them by DUNLOP. The next time I played, I decided to play with them and see if they stood up to the advert. ANYONE PAYING FULL PRICE FOR PRO V1's OR ANY OTHER TOP BALL, MUST TRY THESE. THEY ARE LONG, SOFT ROUND THE GREENS AND YOU CAN HARDLY TELL ANY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE AND TOP TITLEIST AND MAXFLI BALLS. ANY LOW HANDICAPPER WOULD BE AMAZED AT THE PERFORMANCE, THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS BALL IS THE "NAME". YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET THE MICKEY TAKEN OUT OF YOU FOR PLAYING THIS BALL. I ALREADY HAVE. BUT IF DUNLOP CAN GET SOME TOP PLAYERS USING THIS BALL, IT WILL BE MAKING A COME BACK.

Model Reviewed: Dunlop 65u

Off the driver this ball has a low trajectory, and wind doesn't affect it at all. It's also long. Good spin with wedges and shorter irons. I found this ball very controlable chipping and pitching; it had a firm but pleasant feel putting. Distance control when putting is very good. Compared with the Pro V1 (the only other solid cored urethane covered ball I've played) this ball feels slightly firmer and spins a little less. Having said that, it is still very workable around and on the green. As I expected, the urethane cover stood up to wear very well, maybe a bit better than the Pro V1. My handicap is 23 but I think even much better players will still enjoy playing this ball. The 65u should also be seriously considered if you're looking for something to play in windy conditions without sacrificing greenside control. The Dunlop 65u is a great value when you consider what the other urethane balls cost.
