Callaway Tour iX Balls

Callaway Tour iX Balls

DESCRIPTION

The technologically advanced Tour ix Golf Ball featured 4-piece inertia technology and dual core construction designed to optimize distance. The ball's high-density outer core moves weight away from the center of the ball for increased moment of inertia (MOI) resulting in reduced driver spin for increased distance and accuracy. The ball's dual core construction allows for great distance off the tee while still offering spin around the green. The lower compression inner core provides low spin off the driver for great distance while the higher compression outer core provides high chip-shot spin.

I picked up a sleeve from my dad thinking oh well i will give these a shot, I really did'nt think I would like them much. I usually play Srixon z star and it is a great ball too, but this Callaway sure surprised me. It drives well, stops on the green, chips well and putts well, not to mention its very durable. I have used 1 ball for nearly 2 rounds of golf. My srixon would be good for about 6 to 9 holes, All I can say is I will be using this Callaway as my #1 ball. Give it a shot, excellent ball.

I bought a dozen on the recommendation of my brother and teed it up for the first time today. This is a very interesting and excellent ball. I think I'm a convert (this coming from a three decade Titleist guy). I kept finding myself in between holes pinching and digging at the cover with my fingernail. It reminds me of the old Titleist Tour Balata on a hot day- very sticky, fungible, and grippy. But its a thin cover, so it doesn't absorb too much energy with the longer clubs. Zippy off the wedge no doubt. I threw a 45 yard wedge shot to a pin today and it literally stopped on the first bounce. I can't remember the last time I've done that (in fairness, however, it could have been the soft greens). Off the driver it flat out performs. I was skeptical about how the ball would feel given the rock like "click" it makes when you drop in on concrete (compared to the softer sounding click of a ProV1), but that turned out to be irrelevant. It felt solid, but not to hard- just right. Unlike most people, I rather like it when a ball leaves paint on my wedge grooves, this ball did not disappoint. That sign of sheer stress means it is spinning extra hard for me!

These new callaway balls are the best. They have just as much grip as any other ball, they are great for putting alignment, but most importantly they are the single most durable high performance ball out there. I can't stand spending 50 bucks for a dozen ProV's and hitting a full wedge only to find a gash in my ball. Doesn't happen with these bad boys. If you haven't tried these yet do yourself a favor and find a dozen. If you are a person who plays lots of spin on your shots, especially under 140 yards, you will not be disappointed with this ball's performance.

Well i have had a massive improvment with my golf game this year, and because of that I have been playing more expensive golf balls. I never really liked callaway for some reason, no idea why, i just disliked it. I had a sudden change of heart after shooting my lowest score at the time, and i played just about anything expensive haha. Well I tried one of these that I found on a course with apparently little use, and when I teed off with it for the first time, i was surprised. Typically I have to aim about 5-15 yards right because I play a pretty heavy draw, this one went straight as hell. I eventually lost it not too long ago because I pulled it out and forgot it doesn't draw and couldn't find it in the big mess of fallen leaves, but i really played well with it. It seemed very quick off the face of the club, like it would launch off as soon as contact was made, most balls I like to play with that do draw, you can feel them stay on the face of your club just a little bit longer. Needless to say it sent it flying. Seeing as it's the end of October I dont plan on trying to get my parents to buy me new golf balls any time soon (i'm 15 years old and don't have a job right now because of school). But the first chance I get I will try to get some of these, they went far, and i didn't have to worry at all about playing the draw for once (which is nice).
