Bridgestone Precept MC Lady Balls

Bridgestone Precept MC Lady Balls

DESCRIPTION

From Precept Golf: "What could possibly cause a man to ever hit a lady? A Precept MC Lady golf ball, that is. How about extra distance off the tee and with the irons? How about wind-boring trajectory and incredible feel? All of these reasons have caused male golfers across the country to discover the Precept MC Lady golf ball, a ball originally designed for women but one that has gained widespread acceptance by male golfers of all ages and handicaps as a ball with incredible distance and soft feel." "...It's a phenomenon!"

This is a great ball. It is not the be-all-end-all, but it is a great all around ball. Not many people are as knowledgeable about golf equipment as I am so i want to dispel a few comments others have made about this ball that are absolutely untrue. Here are the facts about this ball.

First, it does have a soft feel. Here's why. The compression of this ball is somewhere in the 65-70 range versus a lot of 90-100 compression for other balls. The result is that the ball has a spring effect somewhat like what drivers have. So it feels really soft and goes very long. IT IS FAR SUPERIOR TO "DISTANCE" BALLS IN FEEL. That is a fact. Secondly, the ball has average spin. It is not nearly as good as "tour" balls, but is better than distance balls. But the big benefits of this ball are that it is very long and has a soft feel and produces low spin off the driver for straighter drives and low spin off the irons for superior play in windy conditions.

All in all, this is a great ball on average. Most people will score better with this ball than a pure distance ball or a pure spin ball because of the low side spin. But, for people who like to spin the ball back or play super hard greens, this is not the ball for you. Most of my mid-irons release 2-3 feet from where it hits...not bad and more than enough for your average golfer. One of the best all around balls for all but the lowest handicappers. The Wilson Smartcore is also a great ball for the price with similar attributes. I played both this weekend as well as the Titleist distance balls. No comparison, the Precept Lady and Wilson Smartcores are softer, longer, and have better bite. Trust me, I know a lot about equipment to say the least.

Bought these after reading an article in Golf Digest. These babies are dynamite in a sphere. Long and strait off the tee and LONG off the irons.Soft too! I had to take less club on approach shots, I was flying the green with the impressive lenght off of my irons. If you play a two piece distance ball throw them away and buy these!

DON'T BE AFRAID TO PUT THIS OLD LADY IN YOUR BAG. THE MC LADY IS AS LONG AS THEY SAY. STRAIGHT OFF THE DRIVER. SOFT OFF THE PUTTER. LONGER THAN TOP-FLITE ROCKS AND SOFTER THAN STRATAS. CAN'T BEAT IT. ALSO ADDS A FEMALE TO YOUR FOURSOME WHICH IS A BONUS THEY DO NOT ADVERTISE.

I swallowed my pride and went for it! Softer of ALL clubs with great feel. Goes about 5 yars further off irons and 10+ yards off the driver. Feels almost like a ballata when you putt (I had to get use to this). Decent spin to the green and at $8 to $10 cheaper than strata I think I have found my #1 ball. Don't be afraid....go ahead and try them...you will NOT be disapointed!!!

Once you pick one up you won't let her go. She's long, feels great, not expensive. Treat her right and watch her go. Love my lady.

Distance is good but the feel is what you would expect from a $20 a dozen ball-rock hard.

Talk about a soft feel. If I didn't know better I would have said this was a balata ball. It is absolutely one of the best feel balls out there. Distance is about the same as the Strata ML balata I was playing. Putts like a dream. Have with feel like this it has to make your day on the course go that much better. Great price also.

I read all the hype in the Golf mags over the winter about this ball and I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. They feel very soft regardless of outdoor temperature, not too much sidespin with the driver, and stops well around the greens. Mis-hits with these balls don't make your teeth rattle. Overall distance is as good if not better than the other balls that I've played.

Though I'm also a fan of Tour Patriots (love that wound ball feel), these get the edge for now because they're softer and only $20 for a dozen. Don't get hung up on the "Lady" name. Buy 'em and have a great time!
