Bridgestone Precept MC Double Cover Balls

Bridgestone Precept MC Double Cover Balls

DESCRIPTION

From Precept Golf: "...performs like a distance ball off the tee, but like a spin ball around the green. Propelled by a patented double cover, Muscle-Fiber Core design, the MC Double Cover D&S provides all the adrenaline pumping distance people have come to expect in today’s distance balls. Yet through the incorporation of a soft, high performance outer cover, this incredible ball generates enough spin and feel needed on even the most demanding putting surfaces. A strong, mid trajectory flight made possible through the addition of 392 double dimples makes this ball an ideal choice for golfers who want a combination of spin, distance, and feel previously unattainable in one single golf ball."

This ball has a nice felling with a high spin rate. But not as long as Callaway CB1 or MC Distancce. A bad thing with these is that my lob wedge (Titleist) eats their cover in a round.

Had good luck buying premium discontinued balls with the Cobra Dista so I thought I'd give the double covers a shot. Soft feeling, average distance. Nice putting ball and able to spin on short game. Like other Precepts much more but at $15 not a bad investment. Only negative was a little too much spin off the tee. A little high trajectory and my fades became slices.

I found one of these while playing last year, and loved its feel when I made a few practice putts. When I checked on the Internet, I discovered they were very popular on the Ladies tour, so I figured it would be good for me -- medium hitter. I love 'em. Excellent distance, moderate spin, wonderful feel around the greens. A shame they're discontinued...

I find that the MC Double Cover plays as avertised. It doen't hold the greens as well as a tour premium, but does much better than a distance ball.

I have played the Double Covers for several rouns now after picking them up for a good price. They have a mid-range feel off the driver and irons, and a pretty soft feel around the greens. Slightly longer than the Strata, but don't spin as much or feel as soft. If you can pick the remaining lot up (they've been discontinued) for the price, they're a good mid handicappers ball.

This ball is a very average ball, with good distance, good for putting and chipping but it really is bad for full iron shots.

1st it doesn't spin very much , it runs alot on hard greens.

2nd its flight is to high, difficult to control in the wind

3rd it cuts up like nobodys business almost as bad as the tour premium.

I wouldn't recommend this ball there are no real advantages to playing it.

Use a Srixon Hi-spin or Revolution
