These are definitely a long ball. They feel very soft off the club but fly miles. Great for the driver but very poor distance control off the irons. The ball is durable, stops good on full shots and putts well. I couldn't get these to check up on chips around the green, but on soft greens they stop sufficiently. Although I can't complain with the results I was getting with the driver, I found I hit the occassional iron shot off the middle of the fairway that would fly 10-20 metres longer than usual and finish way over the back. And as everybody knows, on most courses way over the back is dead, if not out of bounds. These 'flyers' came completely out of the blue and didn't feel any different to a normal shot. The driver performance and value makes these a fun ball to use in practice or ambrose events, but the lack of distance control with approach shots and lack of spin around the greens would definitely stop me from using this ball in competition, but might work for players with slower swing speeds.

The Laddie does not compare to the ProV1 or Srixxon UR-X in terms of control around the green. What it does do very well is provide you additional distance during the winter months. Playing in high 30's low 40's I noticed my drives were now going 225yrds. After some research I decided to try the Laddie to get some of that cold weather distance back. It worked! I gain 20 - 30 yards for the driver, and about 10yrds per iron with these. I'll probably switch back to a better ball when the weather warms, but for now they are doing the job. I give these 5 stars for value. At 15.98 per dozen they are a great cold weather bargain.

What a great ball!!! I usally drive the ball between 250yards and 270yards with good accuracy. While playing the precept laddie, I hit a consistant drive well over 300 yards with a perfect slight draw. The only trubble I had was that I was to close to the hole and messed with my approach shots. Throughout the day I noticed that I hit the ball 20-30 yards further with every club. I ended up shooting a 82 when I usually shoot in the low 70's but with a little practice I believe I can even shoot in the 60"s with this ball. P.S- it also feels good off the puttter.

After reading glowing reviews about this ball I decided to give it a try. I have an average swing speed and hoped for some yardage increase from a ball supposedly made for slower swing speeds. I couldn't have been more dissapointed. I was 20 yards behind my usual drives and shorter with my irons as well. After 7 holes I switched to an old Strata I had in my bag and immediately started hitting my normal distances. I also had more trouble controlling where this ball went than with the Strata. A complete waste of money. At least they weren't too expensive.

Great ball for the money (2 for $36.00 at Edwin Watts. You get premium ball qualities for a discount price. Long off the tee with a mid-high trajectory. I love this ball. Very good feel on chips, putts and iron shots. Holds the green when struck well. You can't go wrong with this ball. If you are looking for more distance and you have a relatively slow swing, you should get that distance from the Laddie. Very soft. Try them. I don't know anyone who has tried this ball and didn't like it.
