Ping Hoofer Bags

Ping Hoofer Bags

DESCRIPTION

The ultimate in carry bags. Its name comes from the "hoof" shaped design of the bag bottom -- which gives this bag characteristics unlike any other. It's slightly larger and more sturdy (yet lighter) than it's wildly popular predecessor the L8 Stand bag.

I work at a golf shop and was offered a new for 2001 Hoofer. Being that i have had a hoofer before for the last 5 years, i needed one already. The new features include full length dividers, waterbottle holder, trunk strap, and newly designed double straps. I have not recieved it yet, but i wanted to let all know of the new features that this bag has. I read the reviews that people could not get one club out without pulling two others out first. But it will be better now.

Okay bag, but from a World Class operation:
PROS-
Light. Material seems okay to me and holds up well despite what some may say about it. Straps are great in that I can choose to go traditional, i.e., clubs facing forward or back pack it. Legs are okay - requires pushing down on the lower lip of top to secure wide stance

CONS: Cost. Absense of full-length dividers is cause of most dissatisfaction. Flimsy and wobbly when stood up.

There is no question in my mind that this is the BEST bag on the market. I don't have a clue what kind of person would give this bag a bad review. I also think that the straps are easy enough for a two year old to figure out so I would seriously recommend this bag to anyone!!!!!!!!!!

Had this bag in the past, absolute pain in the a.., cannot set it up when necessary on a cart or trolley, a nightmare to remove or put back clubs. The Ping name is the only potentially appealing thing about this bag.

Nice carry bag. lots of pockets, but the opening for the clubs is too small. would have preferred a L8 version.

First off, I am a golfer for the local High School. This bag is the one we use that has our logos on it, so when it came time to get a new bag the choice was nil. I got this one and love it. I had a nike golf bag, but I like this bag a little better. Has many pockets and holds a lot of clubs. One change i would have on it is it needs a separate putter slot. Oh well, High quality bag here.

THIS IS A GREAT BAG! It's light and has plenty of pockets to carry things in. Extra apparel, golf balls, valuables, and other things all have plenty of space to be stored in. If you are an avid walker, this is definitely your bag!

Great bag! It's made of very strong material - some bags I've seen feel as though you could rip them with your bare hands. It has just the right amount of pockets. If you don't like the double strap you can take one off. It has great styling in my opinion, although they don't make one in U of Illinois colors, yet... Only thing wrong with it is sometimes, the legs don't open as far as I'd like, although it has never fallen over and the stand mechanism is inside the ""hoof"" which means you're less likely to bust the little spring attachment which are on all other stand bags and gives the bag a cleaner profile

Bought a set of used Eye 2's - new shaft/refinished heads/new grips($300) from a local golf shop and was wondering if they had square grooves - contacted Ping and they told me right away - they even had to go into their records in the UK - but it didn't phase them - great service!

I like the bag for the following reasons, It is light, It has just the right amount of pockets, I like the way the major pocket opens - it has two zippers and a netting on each side to allow for a large opening while keeping balls and other objects from falling out. I like the fact that it has a felt lined pocket for my watch and rings. I am having a hard time adjusting the straps to make if fit comfortably on my back. I sometimes have to manually push out the legs to insure a stable upright position when standing the bag up. I would rather see the legs move out farther on their own as a place the ""hoof"" on the ground. It doesn't have a nice metal ring to attach a towel.

The Bag is great for walking. The Straps are comfortable and the storage is roomy. My only complaint is that the rubber on the inside of the front pocket is flaking off. I think because of the heat and being in the trunk of my car.
