I like this tool.. Sometimes you can buy these gadgets and they are a waste of time and money.. not this one, it works and helps my swing and speed.

I don't have a vast amount of experience with this product, but I can tell you it does what it claims. I borrowed this device from a friend and used it for 18 holes. I swung with the Medicus almost everytime before hitting a real shot. The one thing it did help me with (even though I didn't expect this) was swing tempo. You can't "crank it up" with this device, nor can you baby a shot. It really helped me keep my tempo consistent and in turn, my ball striking all day was better. I'm not sure I would buy this device, however. The price is a bit steep for me, but other people may find it valuable. I do suggest trying it out once or twice, I think you'ld be amazed at what it can do for your swing.

In case I miss anything, another review from Victor says it all. I can not believe that I can now hit my 8-iron 150 with no effort due to this club. I used to death grip my club, my take away was totally off plane before, forcing me to have an 'over the top' swing to try to keep my travel towards the target. I am surprised I could actually hit the ball previously. I also could not hit my driver straight at all; using what the medicus club had taught me I began hitting my driver straight and fairly long after two weeks. Nothing has help my game more. I see no reason why I should not be hitting in the 80s within a month, since my progression now is unreal. Do yourself a favour and get this club, before you upgrade all your equip. like I made the mistake of doing. I have to stress this again; nothing has made this much difference, and I have tried a lot (videos, pro-help, big dollar clubs....). I would put money on it I could destroy my score from a month ago using my gramps 1974 wilson 1200GEs.

Fine tool for working on swing plane. I tend to take the club inside on the backswing, which causes me to fight hooking the ball. I use this device to ensure a proper start to the back swing and it helps more than a video tape. In addition, it helps establish good tempo if your swing pace is slow to moderate.

Really got me off on the right start as I return to golf from a multi-year layoff. Disciplines you to takeaway properly and control the wrists at impact and follow through. I would recommend to anyone who wants to evaluate their swing for proper mechanics.

Terrific practice aid ONLY for the patient and very disciplined. The club does encourage a slow, smooth take away, proper swing plane, and smooth transition. However, the collapsing hinge is very sensitive to swing flaws. If you have the patience of a saint and good practice habits, I would recommend it. If you are an aggressive player with a short fuse.....maybe not. *Note*- I feel a person's swing should reflect their personality, whether a quick take away and swing, or a slow, controlled swing. In my opinion, the Medicus would not suit the quick swinging player as well because the hinge would break down often, perhaps forcing the quick swinger to compromise their ideal swing tempo. Medicus training clubs can be found on various internet auctions for a terrific price.

Fine trainning device. For the serious golfer only. Learn to hit balls with this and you will find great inprovment in your ball striking. Nick Faldo is the perfect example of what you will look like if you use this pratice tool for one year. Swing it everyday for one year with or without hitting balls and you will reduce you gold scores. I will bet that after the year is up you will have a little gallery behind you at the driving range. Its better to look good than to score good...ha ha ha

Looks funky, but works! Helps you slow down your swing and get a feel for how a club should be swung. Try it.
