Golf Pride Tour 25 grip
OK, here's the 411 on these new Golf Pride Tour 25 grips. Excellent grip, tour velvet feel, increased the club SW 6 pts. This grip increased club head feel on the way down, which cut through the turf & rough with ease. I got more solid powerful center contact, which helped straighten out my weak fades, and increased distance. BE CAREFUL INSTALLING THEM, THEY TEAR VERY EASILY. Use lots of GRIP LUBE on the tape and inside the grip, a grip starter, a shaft vise grip, & 2 hands and work them down. Higher swing weight clubs will help slower swing speeds make contact, by controlling swing tempo. Check your clubs SW specs 1st at the MFG. 1st before gripping, start with adding lead tape properly on the club head at the range until you can feel the club head on the downswing. Remember 1/2" wide lead tape 2" long = 1 SW. ADD near the toe=fade, near the heel=draw, near the back of a wood=higher flight, and near the middle=lower flight. Then you can remove the tape after installing a lighter grip later. Grip is great for D0 irons & D0 hybrids; careful on drivers they are already D3 or more, UW=D2/3, SW=D3/4, LW=D5/6. Funny fact: in most Golf Digest articles "what's in the bag", almost all the pros club swing weights are higher than off the shelf clubs. Made me a believer, when my reweighted D6 driver is going 20-30 yds. longer and straighter. Similar Products Used: Golf pride decade multi compound grips 47.5 at grams |
