Melrose Country Club, when the name comes to mind I think pure elegance. The course truly brings out all of the parts of the game. Around the green shots, Long straight drives and gorgeous par 3's. The maintenence is excellent! The fairway's and greens are always in top condition tstoto Weakness:

Wilson Dyna Powered Gap and Lob Wedges
Looking at my level indicates that I am a golfer who is trying to improve his game. I realized, when returning to golf after three years, that I had never had any other wedges than a pitching wedge. I located these wedges on ebay for $29 a piece. So, I figured "What the heck?!" Let's just say that my introduction to these was not pleasant. On my first round with these wedges I probably hit the shaft more times than the face of the club. This was not the wedge's fault. After some practice, I have found that I really like the feel of these wedges. They have allowed me to be more agressive around the green because I know the ball is not going to go very far after it lands with most shots. In fact, I have shot a season low 86 just last weekend in part to improved short game and putting. For the price you can't deny the value of these wedges. Classic looks and good feel. Probably not as much spin as some of the higher end wedges, but at my level I probably couldn't tell the difference. I was looking for a "matched" set of wedges; I'd accumulated my wedges as singles here and there and wanted consistent feel from club to club. Found a set of three Dyna-Powered wedges on eBay for $64 including shipping from Dallas Golf. Considering the original MSRP was $129 per wedge, I thought this was a steal. The wedges themselves are gorgeous to look at, especially if you like a classic/retro look - they're modeled after the original 1958 Dyna-Powered design. I would have preferred the gunmetal finish, but at this price I'm not complaining. How do they work? Well, they're certainly heavier than my Tommy Armour 855s wedges - which is a good thing for me as it keeps me from getting "wristy" and helps me trust the club. They definitely have a softer feel around the green as well. All in all, I'm very pleased! Customer Service Bought from www.dallasgolf.com and their service has always been great. These are some very under rated wedges. They offer some great feel & great feedback. I have had both the SW & LW in the bag for over a year and I won't even think of going to Cleveland 588's or Vokey's. These wedges have such a great feel I find myself making flop shots with ease. Trust me on this and give these babies a try! Customer Service Never had to use it..... Similar Products Used: 588 Tour Action & Vokey's |
