Since it appear JO is planning to send a review each time he plays, and will base his rating on how well he played that evening, lets take a more serious look at this club.

These are simply some of the finest wedges I have played in over 20 years of playing golf. They have tremendous feel and instill confidence. They heads are a bit heavier than my old wedges, so it took some adjustment period, but they feel extremely stable throughout the swing. At impact they provide great feedback; when you hit them solid the ball seems to just melt into the face.

I special ordered mine along with my DCI 990's, and ordered Rifle 5.0 shafts because I like a softer shaft in my wedges. Titleist sent them with 6.0 shafts. I'm still deciding whether I'll send them back, but they feel so good around the green that I may not.

I use the 54 degree from about 110 and in, and the 58 degree from about 85-90 and in. On full shots the trajectory is great, as is the feel. They also seem to be more accurate than any other wedge I've played. I can control distance well with them too. For shorter swings, these seem to be deadly accurate and precise in terms of distance control. Plus, the spin produced on shorter swings is really astounding.

In terms of spin, these wedges produce plenty of spin IF you (1) strike the ball properly, and (2) if you are playing the proper ball. Obviously (to some) the feel of the club, and the spin generated, is heavily influenced by the type of ball. If you're playing a Pinnacle they I'm sure these clubs have poor feel and produce no spin, whereas if you are playing something like the Titleist Tour Prestige they have great feel and almost too much spin. The only problem I've noticed is that the rock hard range balls seem to leave scuff marks on the club face. Other than that small complaint, these wedges are perfect.

Customer Service

I ordered these with my DCI 990's, and received all my clubs in 9 days. They did put the wrong shaft in the wedges, but have allowed me to evaluate these clubs and will reshaft them if that is the decision I reach. I'm still undecided about whether I will or not. Titleist is a top notch company, both in terms of product quality and customer service.

I have to say that JO from Hopkinton,MA is a complete moron. Learn how to play golf first, then submit a review about this excellent wedge. This is the best wedge I have ever played with. This club is excellent around the greens and the bunkers. From 100 yards and in, the club is cash money!! The feel is incredible and putting spin on the ball with this club is so easy. This wedge is the best buy on the market right now! Everyone should try one!! Make sure you get the right bounce and loft, cause they are key to your performance.
To JO: Get some golf lessons, Spin is generated by your swing and the club, not just by the club. You are a golf idiot!!

You can't buy a better set of wedges. Very easy to hit from the fairway, bunker, fringe, or rough. Get one and lower your scores. Great feel, too.

One of the better wedges I have tried. Nice classic look, good feel, nice weighting. In my opinion, it gave me a little more confidence at address than the Cleveland. I would put this wedge up against most any. High-priced, but no more than the rest.

Love this gap wedge. I like the heavier weight coupled with the soft feel at impact. Great chipping club especially from heavy greenside rough.

This an interesting club. It is advertised to hit penetrating shots from the fairway. I have found this difficult to accomplish. This wedge tends to hit the ball a bit higher than I expected and I really would not consider the ball flight "penetrating." Yet the club seems to spin the ball better than the Vokey 200s and is pretty useful around the green.

Customer Service

Great customer service. Replaced my 1999 975 fairway wood with a 2000 version, no questions asked.

I bought the wedge not knowing too much about it. The only thing I knew was that it was a Titleist, and Titleist never disappoints, does it? I got the model with more bounce than usual. A little heavy, but not a big deal. It works great out of the rough around the green and anywhere from 100 and in. Not the easiest to hit if you don't take a decent divot usually, however, if this concerns you, don't take it into consideration too much. BUY THIS WEDGE TO IMPROVE YOUR GAME, BUT GET IT CUSTOM FITTED FOR LIE!

The weakest part of my game was inside 110 yards - and I came to this site to see what was recommended - I tried the 3 wedges (52, 56, 60) at Golf Town ($159 ea CDN) and used them for the first time 2 days ago in a charity tournament...I hate to sound like an infomercial, but these wedges are truly amazing, and confidence inspiring...and they do make the ball stick..of course you have to have a decent swing to begin with, but once you have that, go get these wedges and watch your score drop. There's nothing like watching the ball sail high into the air and come down right on target. It still sounds like hype, I know...but those who have them know. By the way, I called all over Toronto and could hardly find any Vokey's, let alone left-handed, and everyone else was at least $170 (CDN). When I called Golf Town they told me they had a wide variety of lefty Vokey's, but wouldn't give a price - only saying they were 'lower'. I went there, they did have a great selection, and they were lower. Highly recommend the Vokey wedges, and Golf Town for their selection and pricing.

Best wedge I have ever played. Wouldn't expect anything less from the best club manufacturer in the world. This club is deadly accurate, I don't know where I'd be with out it. This is a must buy if you don't have it already
