Titleist Vokey Wedge SM56.10
Damn this thing can spin a ball! i use mid-range balls; Srixon AD333, Titleist DTs, Bridgestone e5. never before could i impart so much spin on a golf ball. my home course is short with small greens surrounded by unpleasant stuff. this wedge gives me the freedom to send it high or punch it in (tight lies) with green-grabbin' spin.

Vokey Spin Milled 56.10
I'm an above average wedge player on the verge of breaking 90. After using Ping MB's, I thought I'd try these after reading such rave reviews. Frankly, I was disapointed. Yes, the milled face did spin the ball on half or full approach shots into the green. But, if you're a mid to high handicaper, you won't see a significant difference around the green on chips. And this wedge always scuffed any ball I played on full shots (Srixon AD-333 and Titleist NXT). I'm not a pro that can get my balls for free so that was pretty annoying. I'm going to give the Ping Tours a try. They are more durable in the blasted finish and hopefully their CNC milled grooves won't eat balls. Customer Service Never had to use them. the best wedges ever made by far. i tried taylormade rac wedges, mizuno's raw haze, & cg 10's. these wedges have great bounces to choose from. i also love the d5 swing weight to help my short game. but most off all i love the mild face because i can spin it like the pro's. |

Vokey Spin Milled 56*
I have been playing Cleveland wedges since I started playing two and a half years ago. I love my Tour Action 588 sand and 60 degree wedges. However ... When I stopped at my local pro shop (as I do somewhat frequently) the guy behind the counter saw me eyeing the new wedges on the rack. He told me about the new "spin milled" face on the Vokeys. I have always loved the way the Vokeys looked and I love my Titleist Cameron putter. He said, "Dude, your shots will stop on a dime." My short game is the reason I am yet to break 90. I have had limited confidence from within 75 yards and have tried everything... at least I thought I had. Ten practice balls on the range and I knew I had to have one. I LOVE this club. The weighting is phenomenal. It feels great in your hands and really gives you confidence. More importantly, it really gets you the stop and drop you've been dreaming of. The milled face feels like it is ripping the cover off the ball and I actually got a couple of inches of back spin on some of my shots with it this past week - unheard of for me. Are there any down sides to it? Maybe the price but compared to the rest of the name brand wedges, you are in the same ball park. The best endorsement I can give is that even though my 60 degree Cleveland is in great shape, I am going to buy one of these Spin Milled Vokeys tonight in 60* and retire the Cleveland. Titleist 56-10 spin milled wedge by Bob Vokey
I used to find training my shortgame boring as hell, but with my new wedge love it. I no have pinn-point accuracy, and I'm not afraid of bald lies anymore. The wedge has a nice look to it, and a feel to match. This wedge is a real stroke saver, my putting average has sunk due to the closer lies. If you are considering the purcase of a new wedge this is the one. Similar Products Used: Maxfli revolution, Odyssey blackspin, Hogan apex plus |
