Model Reviewed: RAC Satin TP

I was looking forward to receiving this wedge, unfortunately I was disappointed. The clubface was larger than expected. The feel is good, not as soft as a carbon steel wedge, but still soft. I have to adjust too much to this club. The RAC TP does not feel natural in the hands, and I have to alter my swing to hit this wedge. Also, I dont understand why it costs $10 than other wedges. Looks like were paying for Taylormade brand image and marketing again.

Model Reviewed: 60* lob

This is my third lob wedge this season. I started with a Callaway 06 BB lob and i didnt think it had the touch i needed to then i went to a Callaway chrome forged lob and i couldnt hit that club well at all EVER and when i sold my Callaways and bought Taylor made irons so i decided to go with this wedge to finish out my set. I wish i could say that this club does what i want it to on comand but i dont have a good enough feel with it to put it close enough to the pin for tap ins like i would like however i am able to bump it up on those elevated greens from inside of 40 yards and thats all i can really ask of it right now. I have great luck on the driving range with it and can pitch it up on the practice green everytime but on the course after swinging the rest of my clubs i dont get as good of results when i use it. I am convinced that it is due to user error as i have had amazing days with it but more often than id like i will be maybe 20 yards off the green and in the rough and pitch the ball straight up in the air and leave it short. All lob wedges are players clubs in my humble opinion and this one is no different but i will say that i have seen great results with this club when struck correctly and that makes me keep it in my bag even when its costing me strokes. The only bad thing i have to really say about it is that i used it out of a sand bunker once (hard sand) and it left a nasty set of deep scratches near the 60 so i have to question how well it will hold up over the course of a few seasons.

This is a sweet wedge! Does everything great, sand, rough, tight lies. Great control, very good spin. Micro milled grooves are super. Got it at a Play it Again for $69 brand new (mis-marked, they had an exact duplicate for $104! Wish I had the 56*... worth a serious look!

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made Rac Satin Wedge

I have the 54* and 58* and so far so good. They have good feel and I can open up the 58 well enough that I don't need a 60*. Only complaint that I have is that Taylor Made doesn't make the satin (or other non-glare finish) in a 50*, it's only in chrome. I just like all my stuff to match to make me feel good inside. Almost went out and got some Vokey's to have a matching set.. but then thought of all the great shots I've had with these wedges.. Thus I'm stickin with TaylorMade!!
