FX Wedges
If you read above I wrote a review of these wedges with glowing remarks. However, after a season of play, I have to take back all I said. The playability of the wedges remain above par, however the quality is lackluster. I think almost 30% of the finish has chipped off leaving an unsightly copper color behind in all areas. The coating RAM used is cheap. But, what really did I expect? I guess the old adage is true - you really do get what you pay for. |

Ram FX Sand and Gap Wedge
Just picked up these new wedges. Walking around the golf store, I was looking for a couple wedges (Gap and Sand). I saw these clubs and was interested with their clean setup, smooth darker finish, and thinner profile. I find my current cleveland wedges a little bulky with too much bounch next to the fact half the chrome has chipped off leaving a 2 year old club feel like it's about to fall off the shaft. Anyways, after playing around with the club, I noticed the price. A mear $40 Canadian, a lot cheaper than my current $120 Clevelands. Today I got a chance to play with the clubs and they have a great feel. They offer great spin with a responsive feedback. With what feels to be a lighter head than my Clevelands, they felt a little harder to control. I probably just need to get used to them. I would definetely recommend this product with its nice lines and affordable price. Customer Service Great service at my local golf shop. Was surprised when salesman neglected trying to sell me expensive wedges and opted to show me the store's new Ram wedges. |
