I have no idea what the guys above are talking about.I got this club for my thirteenth birthday in 06 and I love this club. I was able to back it up a bunch as the grooves were new. Even as the grooves wear down it can still back the ball up. And if you're slicing the ball and you are a so called scratch golfer you shouldn't be slicing the ball anyway.

Figured I'd buy both the 56* Sand and 52* Gap wedge because I had a problem judging the distance between my PW and old SW... these have definitely helped. I feel stronger on my short game now and these bad boys just look good in the bag as well. High spin off the face, so these shots just stick when hitting the green. I'm gonna leave the Lob wedges to the pros for now... But you can find these cheap and they are definitely worth much more. Great product Nike.

These guys are tools! A good wedge is meant to rust, the rust aids in spin and allows for greater control. If you're worried about your wedges rusting you're probably not much of a golfer!

I received the sand wedge (56*) as part of an ESPN Golf School package. I like it so well I bought the Gap (52*) and Lob (60*) wedges. These wedges have a heavy head feel, but work wonderfully whether a full or part shot. Around the green you can make them fly or run quite easily. In spite of being a blade, they are very easy to hit.
While the clubs blacken slightly with use, I have had no rusting problem as a prior review mentioned. A very good wedge.

I used to struggle with my 56 and 60 degree wedges, I tried out a 58 SV and ended up buying the entire set! They are extremely easy to hit. The 50 is a perfect gap wedge (115 yards, right in between my PW and SW). I can do things around the green with my 58 that i wouldn't dream of trying with my 60. Cut lobs, full swing flop shots that go 30 yards and stop on a dime and it is great out of the sand. I haven't noticed the ball scuffing problems that others mentions (I use MOJO's most often). I did notice that they began to rust just a tiny bit at first so now I towel dry them after every shot when it's wet out and it seems to keep the rust away.

Great feedback when you hit this club. I bought this because I couldn't consistently hit the CPR pitching wedge that came with my irons. Nike SV has been a good replacement. Nice grip. Good set up at address. Consistent shot pattern. Everything you want in a wedge.

Model Reviewed: Nike SV 56Degree/14 Degree bounce Wedge

i bought this wedge off of TGW along with the pro-combo forged irons. i must say this wedge has a VERY solid feel to it and is realy easy to hit. This wedge hits higher than my previous wedge, but still travels the same distance. on the course the SV wedge is perfect around the green especially for pitches, the wedge provides lots of backspin to stick the ball close to the pin. the downside to this wedge is that when taking an 80%-100% swing, this wedge will scuff the ball inevitably. you will see shavings of the golf ball in the grooves of the club face, after every 80-100% shot i'd have to replace the ball due to the scuffs. but all in all, very solid iron. much better than the nike forged
