Eidolon 52-deg
Eidolon wedges are very fine instruments because of their visuals, materials, technology, craftsmanship, balance, versatility - and in one word, their "results"! The grip, shaft, and clubhead are married correctly, and this no-nonsense club is designed to hit wedge shots better than the golfer swinging it. It's size is correct, its heft is right, its ability to be fanned open or closed down is good. A very easy gap wedge to use. As this is being written in late 2010, it still has the max U-grooves, and they work like they are supposed to. There are other wedges that have similar leading edge beveling (Ray Cook, Reid Lockhart, Ping Eye 2+), but I find the moderate thickness sole on the Eidolon to be superior to the others. I carry the 48, 52, and 56. I also own the 60, but the 56 is versatile enough to save me some space in my bag. Customer Service Unknown, but the ones I have seen are superbly manufactured, so no service (other than re-gripping) should be needed.
