DelaCruz made two different models of wedges. The model I'll review here is the Wolfram model with the Wolfram 90 face insert. The Wolfram model has a thinner topline than DelaCruz's standard wedges along with the insert. The first thing you will note when picking up this wedge is the attention to detail in design and assembly. The second thing to note is the use of the highest quality materials. Dick DelaCruz is a superior designer of golf clubs, far ahead of his time. The use of the Wolfram 90 insert, virtually guarantees your shots will have consistent backspin for the life of the club, which is probably the same as 'your' lifetime. Using stainless steel for the body along with the Wolfram insert, will give you a wedge that will stand the test of time and thousands of rounds of golf. The teardrop shape of head is clean and not too large with the hosel back out of the way, giving the golfer confidence when addressing the ball. The leading edge has a tight radius, allowing the wedge to easily 'clip' the ball out of a tight lie. However, that same tight radius will also quickly dig into the turf if the shot is hit fat. The 5 degree bounce is almost flat when looking at the toe end of the club, not affording much bounce. The toe and heel of the sole have been 'relieved' or ground away to give less resistance in higher grass. The relieved heel along with the shallow bounce, also allows the leading edge to be lie very closed to the ground for those sensitive lob shots around the green. Many club makers have tried to design wedges with inserts, including Jesse Ortiz and Dave Pelz with their Bobby Jones wedges. None have done a better job than Dick DelaCruz with his Wolfram wedges. The grooves are sharp and will remain sharp, even after thousands of rounds of golf. They provide plenty of backspin when hitting the shot with a descending blow. If you play the ball forward in your stance and sweep the ball from the turf, don't expect ANY wedge to give you backspin. One problem today in using 'soft' metal for wedges is they wear much to fast and when you find one that suits your game, you may not be able to find another one exactly like the one you own due to model changes. If you're lucky enough to find a DelaCruz Wolfram wedge, hang onto it and it will last you a golfing lifetime. |

Follow up review. COmpany gave me 50.00 refund to offset cost. Nice people. Well, hit the two wedges for two weeks now. The 60* is awesome out of the sand, don't let the low bouce scare you, lay the club back and swing away. I cannot stress the quality of these clubs Customer Service None needed, but the owner Larry and his wife are very nice Similar Products Used: Macgregor, Hogan |

Bought two new wedges through the company. Great wedges, but paid to much! $220.00 for both. Go on Ebay, hopeamber has the heads for $15.00, buy a rifle spinner shaft and grip for $20.00, pay $10.00 to have it built, $50.00 bucks not $110.00 save your money. Customer Service Nice people, but to much for a company that has gone under, and needs to get rid of surplus! |

One word, WOW! I went with golfteatusa review and bought this to replace my Mizuno. Unreal spin, inside of 90 yards it's a dart thrower. Less ofset so it squares nicely. Top fit and finish. Dick Delacruz is a genious (google his name) I have the fairway cruzer and as usual, top notch. Two friends have hit these clubs, went online and bought them. They are that good. No wonder golftestusa and rankmark rate these so high. If I could give it 10 stars, I would Customer Service Spoke to Linda at the company, so nice. Larry, the owner, class act.
