A friend had this Ping driver which he hits OK, I liked the look so I bought one off Ebay at my usual specs. I am left handed so the set up looked very "toe up" which was a little unusual compared to my Callaway drivers. semi truck air brake service Hesperia

These things are amazing...anything from the 135m mark in will produce shots you have only dreamed of playing....I liked the 37 so much I bought a 42 and this baby even does bunkers. These are seriously game improving clubs....Ive had them six weeks now and I have gone from a 8.2 to a 7.0. I just wish they made a 32 and even a 27 degree. That would be a perfect world.

I play in the high 70s, low 80s. I'm a decent player and I'm pretty good with my wedges. I've always loved a PW. So, when I would see my mom using a chipper I would just smile and say, "Hey, whatever works for you." When I saw my uncle using his chipper, I'd laugh and give him the gears. I'd always say, "I'll never own a chipper...never." Then, at the end of last year, I went through a bout of chunked chips and the accompanying skulled chips that came from trying to avoid the chunk. After reading some reviews of the Niblick, I decided that I was going to try one just long enough to get rid of the mental image of the chunk/skull.

Yesterday, I played my fourth game with my niblick and I have to say that it is the most fun club I have ever used; I can hardly wait to hit it. I keep finding more and more ways to use it. To give you a sense of what it does, I used it on 10 holes, hitting almost as many different shots with it. I hit
- a very high 130 yard shot that I had to get up quickly over a large poplar
- a couple of 5-10 yard pitch and runs
- a soft high pitch from about 10 yards that took about two hops and stopped
- a knock-down shot under a limb from about 60 yards
- a long bump and run from the fringe, up to a second tier of the green
- a couple of nice smooth, easy-swing shots from 125 that basically sat in their divots

I hit every one of these shots to inside 15 feet, a couple were inside four feet, and four of them were inside a foot and half. The niblick has enabled me to take my PW and 52* out of my bag, opening a spot for a 3-wood (which I had removed to make room for a 60*). I could even remove my 9-iron, but have no need to - I have no other holes to fill. As you might be able to tell, this club is not coming out of my bag any time soon.

(Another funny thing that came out of yesterday's game was that it was the first time I played this club while playing with my regular playing partner. I thought he was really going to take the mick out of me. But after chunking a gap wedge from about 110 yards on the 6th hole I said to him, "Hey, why don't you give this thing a swing?" He drops a ball and knocks it right over the top of the pin, stopping it dead about 10 feet behind the hole. He says, "Whoa! This things stupid-easy to hit." For the rest of the round he kept coming over and grabbing my niblick from the bag, knocking it tight about three times from outside 100 yards. After our game, he went straight to a golf shop and bought one.)

I am a new golfer and this club makes the game much more fun for guys like me. After picking up this club at the PGA Superstore and spending about two hours at the range figuring it out, I can pitch, chip and approach the green with so much more confidence. It is just what I needed and will be in my bag for quite a while.

I purchased the Niblick brand new off ebay for £79 because I was struggling around the greens... mainly with chip shots off tight lies and from 50 yards in. Initially, I thought the club was excellent - the zip grooves stopping the ball instantly from approx 100 yards.

However, the more I used the club, the less I liked it. I found that I always caught greenside chips thin and felt there was very little feel... much the same as the Cleveland CG12 Black Pearl.

Then there was the p*ss taking comments from my friends and playing partners. Their comments didn't really bother me but it did get me thinking 'what is the point of this club?'
On greenside chips / bump and runs, the zip grooves make no difference whatsoever - same shot could be played with a 7, 8 or 9 iron.
Pitches can be played with a pitching wedge, and full shots from 120 yards in can be played with a 9 iron!

So to cut a long story short, I sold the niblick (or 'nibbles' as I had come to call it) and practised with my wedges and 7 iron.

I can only say "Wow!". This thing has so many uses it's unbelievable. With each ball position in your stance it is a different club. And accurate? This thing is absolutely deadly within 100 yards of a green. Spend a few hours with it on the range before you hit the course and this will be your new favorite club.

A great club for me... but may not be needed by better players who are already consistant around the greens. This club gives me great confidence from both short and long range(90ish yards). The short putter type length gives alot of control for little chips as well as longer pitch shots. It wont replace my Gap and pitching wedges but it is always going to be in my bag.
