When you see this club in a rack, just keep on walking and don't even pick it up. It takes a long time to get used to the angle and swing path needed to shape shots 60 yds and closer, and the sand totally destroys the soft copper and the ability to spin the ball through regular sand practice, how can Cleveland claim to be the #1 wedge in golf?

I have recently said on this club review that this club sucks and I cant hit it more then 60 yds. But times have changed I stuck a xtra stiff shaft on it and can hit it nice now from about 95 yards with descent spin...although this should not have had to be done for considering I only swing 95 mph!

I picked up the lob and sand wedges about two months ago. While a agree with some of the comments that these wedges do not enable as much spin as some other wedges on the market, these wedges provide enough spin to stop the ball when needed and enough cheese to roll the ball back when you hit down on the ball. If your primary concern is back spin, go for a gimmick diamond faced club. The true beauty of these clubs are the fact these have tremendous feel and you are going to get a true shot every time. In the last 5 rounds I played with these wedges I have reduced my average putts per round to 29 from 34 last year. I would estimate that ninety percent of this decrease in putts is do to the fact these wedges are allowing me to put the ball within 12 feet around the cup and giving myself a chance to one putt on most holes.

I don't agree with the decrease in distance comments using these wedges. I can hit the sand wedge 110 yards when needed which is the same distance as other sand wedges I have played in Colorado (6000 ft above sea level).

I am very happy with these clubs, but as another wise poster stated you should always hit 'em before you buy 'em...

This wedge is great. The grind makes this club very natural and easy to swing. Lands the ball soft and is very controllable.

Cleveland is definitetly tops in wedges but the BeCu is their best. Love the feel of this wedge. The grind also makes for a good "all over the place"" wedge--since I, er, often am not on in two. My only complaint is the price. Far too high.

It's like butter in the sand...I have never used a better sand wedge!!! Places the ball exactly where you want it. Only downside is when used on grass....don't catch the edge on the ball....it really takes off! Price could be a little lower.
