First off, I would like to say that it is stupid to have a fight over a wedge (boggs and eric), but second off I will have to say that Eric is right (about Callaway equipment, and JD an most of the players he named did at one time play Callaway). I am a scratch golfer, shooting even par and under almost every time out, and am looking to head for NCAA's next year or year after. (talks with Stanford etc) These wedges in my opinion are the best on the market. Feel, accuracy and versatility. I can hit my 54* anywhere between 125 and 75 yards if I dead arm it. I get all the control I need. As for the 58, it is also an amazing club. Anywhere from 95 yards to a 25 yard pitch shot, bunker shot or flop. The feel can't be matched. The small head is exactly what I was looking for, and it has a nice heavy swingweight. First shot I hit with these wedges was a hole out from 68 yards, Im stickin with em.

These wedges have great feel and accuracy. They seem to hit the ball really high, much higher in fact than my PureSpin wedges. The forged model will rust over time, giving it some "bite" and a nice rusty color.

(Price is in £ not $). I bought these at a "20% off everything" sale. I'd long believed that a 52 / 58 combination would be more beneficial to my game than the X14 SW and Progen 64 LW I was using. I couldn't hit the LW for toffee by the way and more often than not left it out of the bag. To my pleasant surprise, the 52 has proved to be the best of the two for me. I guess I hit it most of the time to about 80 yards. The 58 is tricky to get on with consistency and I have yet to find my distance with it from the fairway (or rough!). I also duff more than my fair share with it from the sand. (I know, my fault, not the clubs). Overall, great quality, excellent grips, and great feel when you catch them right, but the more lofted option is not that forgiving if your swing is still "maturing". One thing I have learnt is that anyone other than low handicappers should remove their lob wedge from their bags and replace it with a gap wedge - whatever the make.

This is the first wedge I've ever bought, normally just using the pitching wedge from the set I have, and while it's not an end all great wedge that hits perfect shots all the time ( or maybe I just need to improve ), it is better than the pitching wedge out of the sand. I don't have any complaints with it, it seems to do the job, but I don't have other wedge experience to be able to compare it to others. Seem reasonably priced as far as individual wedges go.

First of all, thes clubs are beautiful to look at....Second, the bite the clubs give me is great (I use the 60 degree for flops about twice a round)...Third, the distance control is great. Even in bermuda it's rare that I catch a flyer.

I was looking for a new gap wedge at dicks and I had this one in mind...so I got it. When I first got it I was having some regrets because I was used to a more forgiving cavity back wedge(X-14's), but I quickly grew to like it after getting used to it. After rusting, the bite I got was amazing...I could target a specific part of the green without fear of the ball not checking up. Im not sure why, but i find the more compact clubhead a lot more pleasing to the eyes at set-up than similar wedges such as the Cleveland 900 series. The standard grip is also pretty nice, it's built up near the bottom for those choke chips and pitches. Im not saying this to sound cheesy like the Perfect Club commercial but it is really my favorite club in my bag. It's my go-to club for 120 yards and in. I'm bidding on the 58 degree to match it as I'm writing this review...If you have any interest in picking this club up, then go for it.

It is funny reading some of the other reviews. In particular the writer below who shoots in the 90's. As he/she claims the club hits same distance 60* or 56*, I believe that has to do with the swing over equipment. As for the too much bounce and no feel, if you hit it pure with any forged clubs, there is little feel feel (vibration/torque, etc.). If there is too much bounce than the club will dig less and how could 60* hits further or equal to 56*. Finally, I also believe Cleveland has made or designed the club for Callaway (not confirmed though). My Review: Though I still prefer my Mizuno MP Series wedges, these Callaway wedges are not bad and are similar to Cleveland.

This is as good as any wedge I have ever played around the greens. The sole design and bounce angle are wonderful for just about any shot from any lie on less than full shots. If I have one gripe, it would be the shaft. Callaway has put a softer tip shaft in this club for feel, and it works well for feel, but it seems to shoot the ball in the air a bit too quickly and it seems that knockdowns are difficult to control. This is a complaint for trajectory and direction. At the same time, wedges are not supposed to be swung hard, and if your tempo remains smooth, it is workable to a degree, it has just taken some getting used to. I love the small head, and the feel is pillow soft. I would definitely recommend this club. As a matter of fact, I intend on looking at the 60 degree as well, but I am also interested in the new Ping wedge as well.

Average club at best. I had trouble estimating distances with this club. The 60 degree wedge hit as far as my 56 degree sand-wedge. Poor feel and too much bounce.

Customer Service

n/a -- I traded it in as fast as I could.
